A slow introduction would help set us up for success. Kids? I don`t have a known history with kids, but I am an energetic young man. 10+Anything else you`d like us to know, Salty? I`m both energetic and cuddly! I came into the shelter as a surrender and the above information is all recommendations based on my previous history and the behavior seen at the shelter. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption.My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! Buck is located in the Portland area. He's being fostered by a professional trainer. This is a courtesy posting. Buck is the definition of a "versatile" dog. Since October 2025, he has been refining his social skills and has become a rockstar with other dogs. He spent his early life with children and remains incredibly gentle and "amazing" with kids of all ages. Training & Manners: Buck isn't just a pretty face; he’s got the brains to match. He has completed professional training and is both leash and off-leash reliable. Whether you’re heading to a busy patio downtown or a quiet trail in the woods, Buck handles it with ease. He is fully potty and crate trained. Personality: He’s a "Velcro dog" at heart who lives to please his person. While he has a medium energy level, his favorite activity is simply "whatever you’re doing." He does have a classic guardian instinct and will let you know when someone is at the door, but he looks to his human for guidance and settles down beautifully once told he's off-duty.
