Story
Alexis is a stunning, purebred German Shepherd with a loyal heart and so much love left to give. She has been cherished since she was a young puppy by a devoted dad who is now facing one of the hardest decisions of his life. Due to serious health challenges and a move closer to medical care, he can no longer keep his beloved girls—and he is absolutely heartbroken. At Critter Cavalry Rescue, we made him a promise: Alexis will find a safe, loving home where she can thrive and be treasured just as she deserves. Alexis is a beautiful girl who could benefit from losing about 20 pounds, and she’s ready for a fresh start filled with healthy routines and fun activity. She’s smart, affectionate, and enjoys both playtime and relaxing at home with her people. She has lived with children and other dogs and does wonderfully—but she will need a cat-free home. She especially loves playing with her Blue Heeler sister, Sassy, and has been a constant, loyal companion. Now it’s her turn to find a family who will give her the same unconditional love she has always given. Alexis is ready for her next chapter—a life filled with walks, companionship, and a family who will keep the promise we made to her dad: that she will always be safe, loved, and secure.   If you feel that pull in your heart, please reach out.   Email: ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Be sure to include your city and state when inquiring.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Journey – A Loyal German Shepherd mix Girl Looking for Her Forever Home   Journey's name couldn't be more fitting, because she's been on quite a journey to find the family she deserves. She first came into one young man's life when he was just 15 years old. His parents thought that giving him the German Shepherd mix puppy he'd always wanted would keep him busy and out of trouble—and they were right. Journey was loved, cherished, and became his constant companion through his teenage years. Then reality hit. At 18, he had to move out on his own, and the only housing he could afford didn't allow dogs. Faced with the heartbreaking choice between homelessness and giving up his best friend, he searched everywhere for help. He drove to rescues and shelters, asked friends and family, and exhausted every option before finding Critter Cavalry Rescue.   Thanks to a devoted rescue foster with Critter Cavalry, Journey was welcomed into foster care and given everything she needed to start fresh. She has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, started on heartworm prevention, and is heartworm negative. Most importantly, she has been given another chance to find the forever family she deserves. At 3 years old and weighing about 50 pounds, Journey is everything you could hope for in a companion. She's smart, obedient, affectionate, and eager to be part of whatever you're doing. Whether it's a hike in the woods, a game of fetch, running errands, or simply helping with chores around the house, Journey is happiest when she's with her people. She absolutely adores everyone she meets. Adults, children, other dogs, and even cats are all friends in Journey's world. She has an enthusiastic, playful personality without being overwhelming, and one of her best qualities is her wonderful 'off switch.' After she's greeted everyone, explored the house, and made sure everything is in order, she's perfectly content to lie at your feet or rest her head in your lap for a peaceful nap until the next adventure begins.   Journey's greatest gift is her unwavering devotion. She bonds deeply with her people and will gladly follow you wherever life takes you. All she's ever wanted is someone to love and a place to call home. Her first family loved her enough to make the painful decision to give her the opportunity for a better future. Now it's time for Journey to find the family that will love her for the rest of her life.   If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving, well-mannered best friend who is ready to fill your days with love and companionship, Journey may be the one you've been waiting for.   To learn more or apply to adopt Journey, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. Journey is more than ready to belong to someone forever.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.July 30, 2026, 10:40 pm

Meet Cubby – Your Adventure Buddy and Best Friend! Breed: Husky Mix | Age: 2.5 years | Weight: 50 lbs   Cubby is a stunning Husky mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. After being rescued from an overcrowded backyard situation, this sweet boy has blossomed in foster care and is now ready to find his forever family.       Cubby has discovered the joys of life—walks, playtime, snuggles, and, most of all, people! He’s affectionate, smart, and always seems to be trying to understand everything around him with those expressive eyes. He’s especially great with children and loves being part of a family.       An energetic and athletic pup, Cubby thrives on adventure. And when the day is done? He’s happy to chill on his dog bed, content just being near his people.       Cubby currently lives with two other dogs and absolutely loves playing with them.
