Story
Meet Miss Lovie Some dogs want to be the center of attention. Miss Lovie would rather be your favorite sidekick. Are you a nervous person? Do you need extra personal space in public? Are you suspicious of oversized garden decorations? Then Miss Lovie might be the perfect dog for you! This loving, shy little lady needs someone who is patient and provides them with a little extra time & space before they're comfortable. Once Lovie is established in her home, she becomes a snuggle magnet who only wants to be with her person. She is friendly (and quite submissive) with every dog she meets and relaxed around cats. She loves anything to chew on: ropes and rubber toys are good, but tennis balls are a favorite. She walks great on the leash (please see: "extra space" addendum :P) and is developing skills with a kennel She's the kind of dog who's happiest tagging along—whether that's a trip to the dog park, a walk around the neighborhood, or anywhere she can splash in the water. If she spots a pond, creek, or kiddie pool, she's probably already planning her next swim. At just a year old and about 35 pounds, Miss Lovie is the perfect in-between size. Big enough to join you on adventures, but small enough to fit comfortably into just about any lifestyle. She can be a little unsure when meeting new people, but don't mistake that for a lack of interest. Give her a little time, let her come to you, and before long she'll be leaning against your leg asking for scratches and following you from room to room. Miss Lovie gets along well with other dogs and loves making new friends at the dog park. She's playful without being over the top, enjoys being outside, and is just as happy relaxing with her people when the day is done. She's spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a family that understands the best relationships aren't rushed—they're earned. If you're willing to give her a few days to settle in, you'll gain a best friend who is worth every minute of the wait. If that sounds like the kind of companion you've been looking for, Miss Lovie can't wait to meet you. Apply here: https://www.centraltexasruffugees.org/copy-of-foster
