QUICK FACTS Name: Red Bean Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Female (Spaying Scheduled) Breed: Shiba Color: Black Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I came from a city shelter, where I was placed on the April euthanasia list without understanding what it meant. The days felt quiet and uncertain, and I simply waited as time passed. Then someone saw me and reached out a hand. In that moment, everything gently shifted—I was no longer just waiting, I was finally safe. Now I’m learning what it means to feel cared for and at ease. With each day, I’m discovering a softer, brighter world and I’m ready to share it with someone special.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spaying Scheduled & healthy with no known health issues Vocal Cord Surgery   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Red Bean. With my Shiba-like looks and bright personality, I naturally catch people’s attention, and I love every bit of it. Meeting new people is one of my favorite things, and I greet everyone with excitement, often sticking close as if we’ve been friends for ages. Being around people makes me happiest, and I’m always ready to share that joy. I get along well with other dogs, though my heart leans a little more toward my humans. I have a classic Shiba charm—smart, expressive, and just a touch independent. I understand basic cues like sit and wait, and I’m quick to read the room. If you’re looking for a lively, affectionate companion with a playful personality and a loyal heart, I’d love to be by your side, bringing energy and warmth into your everyday life.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a naturally affectionate dog who loves being close to people. I’ll happily walk up, lean in, and soak up gentle attention, even from someone I’ve just met. I show my trust easily, rolling over to share my belly and enjoy those quiet, loving moments. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which makes it easy to keep me close and cared for. I haven’t had the chance to meet young children yet, so I may just need a little time and guidance as I experience something new. · With Dogs: I’m a naturally social friend who loves connecting with other dogs! I’ll happily walk right up, say hello, and invite them to play. Meeting new dog friends comes easily to me, and I approach each interaction with a friendly, open heart. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors, then settling in calmly once I’ve had my fill of fresh air. On walks, I move with ease and stay nicely in tune with my person, making our time together feel smooth and comfortable.   TRAINING & HABITS I have an easygoing nature and feel comfortable sharing my space, even around food. I’ll sometimes use my voice to let you know when I need something I may whine a little when settling into a kennel as I adjust. I’m adaptable with my routine, doing well with both indoor pads and outdoor bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I have undergone vocal cord surgery (debarking), therefore I may have a quieter bark or reduced vocalization compared to other dogs   RED BEAN'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2725107##

Story
Hi… my name is Gaon 🐕 I’m a 4-year-old male Shiba × Jindo mix, and I weigh about 18kg. I was once placed on a shelter’s euthanasia list. Even after I was rescued, no one came for me for a very long time. The shelter became the only home I knew—far longer than any dog should have to endure. When people approach me, I don’t rush forward with excitement. Instead, I watch carefully. I’m afraid you might leave. Afraid I might be alone again. So I open my heart slowly, cautiously. But behind that hesitation is a heart that longs deeply to love a person. I simply never learned how to show it. I went so long without being chosen, without being loved, that I don’t always know how to ask for affection. That’s why I struggle when attention is shared with other dogs. It’s not jealousy—it’s more like a quiet plea: “Please don’t leave me this time.” That’s why I’m hoping for an only-dog home, where I can finally feel secure. When it’s just you and me, I’m a completely different dog. I’ll meet your eyes, lean gently against you, and offer shy little gestures of affection. Once I give my heart, I give it fully— with the deep, unwavering loyalty that Jindo dogs are known for. Home life may feel unfamiliar to me at first. I’ll need time, patience, and understanding. But if you’re willing to walk that slow beginning with me, I promise you this: I will become a dog who makes one person my whole world. A once-in-a-lifetime companion who loves quietly, deeply, and forever. Somewhere in a shelter, I’m still waiting— waiting for the one person who will call my name and mean it for life.

Story
Hi… my name is Maesil 🍃 I’m a 1-year-old Shiba × Jindo mix girl, about 10kg — small, bright, and just beginning my real life. I was rescued from a dog meat farm. Since the day I was born, I knew metal bars and loud, unfamiliar noises before I ever knew gentle hands. I spent more time enduring than learning, more time surviving than living. So when we first meet, I might be just a little cautious. But it’s not fear that fills my heart. It’s more like I’m softly asking, “Is this okay? Are you safe?” With one treat and one kind voice, my question melts away. I’ll carefully step closer… and before you know it, my tail will be wagging just for you. --- Once I open up, I’m actually very affectionate. I love sitting close beside my person, looking into your eyes, and asking for attention in the sweetest ways. It almost feels like I instinctively know how to love — I just needed the chance to show it. I get along very well with other dogs my age. I enjoy playing and being part of a group. My energy is bright and healthy, and I carry a natural cheerfulness inside me. And walks? I absolutely love them. When I step outside, the whole world feels magical. Every sound, every breeze, every scent on the ground — it’s all new and fascinating. I haven’t been out in the world for very long, so everything is a discovery. The street noises, passing people, the wind brushing my fur… it’s my first time experiencing it all. --- That also means home life is new to me — living inside a house, learning potty routines, understanding daily rhythms, spending time alone calmly, and learning the rules of living with people. No one has had the chance to teach me these things yet. So I will need patience. I will need guidance. I will need someone who teaches me slowly from the very beginning. But please don’t worry — I truly want to learn. I listen. I pay attention. I try. If you guide me with love instead of scolding, with patience instead of rushing, I promise I will grow into a stable and trustworthy companion. --- I’m still young, and I’ve only just begun my “ordinary” life. I’m waiting to become someone’s joy — someone’s walking partner, someone who shares the start and end of each day. Will you be the family who teaches me all my firsts? Will you fill my world with love instead of fear? If you walk beside me from the beginning, I will stay beside you for the rest of my life. 🐾🤍

Story
Quick Facts Name: Jigu  Age: 4 years old  Gender: Female Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Shiba Jindo Mix  Color: Brown  Weight: 18kg    All About MeShe was a dog waiting for euthanasia at a shelter in Cheongju, Korea. But thanks to a warm helping hand, she was rescued and given a new chance at life.Jigu is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, but she is otherwise in good health and adjusting well. She can be a little shy at first and needs time to open up to new people, but she will gently accept treats, even from strangers. Once she warms up she becomes affectionate and enjoys being petted. She tends to bond faster with women and may need a little more time with men. She hasn’t had much experience around young children, so she may need slow and gentle introductions. She also doesn’t like being picked up with arms under her belly, as it makes her feel uncomfortable.   My PersonalityJigu is a calm and smart dog with a balanced energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities, but after a good walk, she’s happy to rest quietly indoors. She’s independent but shows deep affection once trust is built. While she doesn’t guard food from people, she may be cautious if another dog approaches during mealtime so she need own time when she is eating. She also may bark to express her needs or when encountering strangers, but she settles well once she feels secure. She tends to get jealous and would do best as the only pet in the home.   Social SkillsWith people – She needs time to open up but becomes affectionate and enjoys being touched. With children – she may feel a bit unfamiliar with young children and don’t have much experience. With other dogs – She may react if another dog is confrontational, so the first meeting should be supervised and slow. She has little jalouse and prefers to be the only dog in the household. With cats – she hasn't lived with cats, and there are no observed responses.   On My Walks‍Jigu has lots of walking experience and walks very well on a leash without pulling. She enjoys her outdoor time and likes exploring calmly by your side. She prefers to go potty outdoors, though she’s capable of doing so indoors if needed.   Life at HomeJigu is quiet and well behaved. She settles down nicely in a kennel and enjoys having a peaceful space to relax. She doesn’t guard food from people and appreciates a calm mealtime without interruptions. Jigu would thrive in a gentle, stable home where she can adjust at her own pace. With patience and love, she’ll open her heart fully and form a deep connection with her family.   Special NotesFor those who offer her time and understanding, Jigu gives back the kind of trust and love that’s truly special, quiet, loyal, and full of warmth.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Jigu's YouTube Playlist ##2458345##

Story
Hi… I’m Norang 🤍 I was found wandering in the mountains, after losing my mom. I wasn’t alone back then—I had my siblings with me. But one by one, they found their families and left for their new homes. Now… it’s just me. And I’m still here, waiting. Hoping my turn will come. I’m a bright and friendly boy. I like people, and I get along well with other dogs too. At first, I might feel a little shy… but if you give me just a little time, I’ll come closer with a wagging tail and a curious heart. Because I really do love being near you. I’m still just a puppy—only 1 years old. So I’m full of energy, curiosity, and a little bit of mischief too 😊 I love toys. I love running and playing. And every day, I’m learning something new about the world. There are still many things I don’t know yet. Living in a home, potty training, understanding what I can and can’t do… I’ll need you to teach me all of that, step by step. Sometimes I might chew on things, or make little mistakes. But I’m not trying to be bad—I’m just growing, learning, becoming who I’m meant to be. Right now, I’m not a “perfect” dog. I’m a dog in the middle of becoming. And that means something special— because you get to be part of who I grow into. With your love, your guidance, and your patience, I can become the best companion you could ever ask for. Even after losing my family, I still trust people. I still believe in love. Now I just need someone who won’t leave— someone who will stay, teach me, and grow with me. I don’t want to be alone anymore. I want a home. I want you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍
