QUICK FACTS Name: Madeleine Age: About 5.5 Months Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Shiba Mix Color: Black and Brown Weight: 6kg / 13lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I once had siblings by my side at the city shelter. One by one, they went to their new homes, and I was the one left behind. It was a lonely time, but I held on and now I’ve been given another chance to find my own family. This time, I am ready to find my own forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Madeleine, a bright, happy soul who loves the world! Everything feels good to me. New places, new people—I don’t really get shy. I just settle in and enjoy whatever comes my way. I have a naturally easygoing, relaxed personality that makes me simple to be around. People often notice my beautiful eyes, but what really makes me special is my calm, sweet energy. If you love Shiba-type dogs, you might just fall for me instantly. I’m the kind of pup who brings peace, warmth, and quiet happiness. If you’re looking for an easy, loving companion who will brighten your everyday life, I think I’d fit right into your heart.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’ll happily come right up, lean in, and ask for affection. I’m very comfortable being touched and handled, and you can gently pick me up with support under my belly. I trust easily, and sometimes I’ll even roll over and show my belly right away—it’s just my way of saying I feel safe with you. I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, so I may need a bit of guidance and patience in those situations. · With Dogs: I love being around other dogs and don’t hesitate to introduce myself, even to new friends, with a friendly hello and a playful invitation. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I’m a great mix of active and calm. I enjoy outdoor adventures, then unwind peacefully once I’m back home. Right now, I’m working on my leash skills, and with a little patience, I’ll become a wonderful walking companion.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m very comfortable around people, even during mealtime, and I don’t guard my food from humans. With other dogs, I can be a little protective while I’m eating and may give a small warning if they come too close—but I’m simply asking for a bit of space. When I want something, I might let out a little bark to let you know. I settle nicely in a kennel and stay calm when it’s time to rest.  I’m flexible with my potty habits, using both indoor pads and going outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Right now, I’m learning all the basics like potty training and going for walks. I’m still figuring things out, but I’m taking it all in stride with my positive attitude.    MADELEINE'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2720616##

Story
Meet Chorong   • Name: Chorong • Age: 1 year • Sex: Spayed Female • Breed: Shiba Jindo Mix • Color: Brown • Weight: 15 kg • Height (shoulder): 50 cm   Rescue Story Chorong was discovered alone in an empty house in December 2024 and brought to a shelter. She spent about a year there, and when she was still not adopted after all that time, she was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time and is now looking for her forever home.   ‍‍‍ With People Chorong is very affectionate and social with people. She happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, leans in for affection, and enjoys being petted.   Because she spent over a year in a shelter since she was young, she can feel unsure in new environments. In places she knows, she is bright, playful, and cuddly—but in unfamiliar settings, she may freeze at first.   The good news is that Chorong relies heavily on people for comfort. When she feels scared, she will stay close—sitting against you or tucking herself between your legs for reassurance.   She is comfortable being picked up (even by new people), and once she trusts you, she will show her belly. She likes both men and women, and while she hasn’t lived with young children under 13, she has calmly encountered them during walks.   With Other Dogs Chorong has excellent dog social skills. She greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs politely and enjoys playtime.   She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has a very gentle temperament. Even when other dogs play rough, she remains tolerant and patient. She has never shown irritation during play and will avoid conflict even if another dog provokes her.   With Cats She shows little interest in cats during walks. (Further testing available if needed.)   Energy Level Moderate energy. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but settles down calmly and rests well afterward.   ‍ Walks & Leash On walks, Chorong may hesitate when encountering unfamiliar people or objects, sometimes pausing or stopping. However, because she trusts her person, she recovers quickly with gentle guidance and continues walking.   When nervous, she tends to stay closer rather than pulling away, so she has low flight risk. With more exposure and experience, her confidence is expected to improve quickly.   Other Notes • No resource guarding with people or dogs • Very food-motivated—may try to eat other dogs’ food if given the chance • Initially showed signs of anxiety in new environments (restlessness in kennel), but has adjusted well and now settles calmly • Rarely barks • Calm and quiet in a crate/kennel • Still nervous about car rides (needs to be carried in) • Primarily eliminates outdoors   Overall Chorong is a gentle, sweet, and pure-hearted dog who simply lacks life experience outside the shelter. With a patient and loving family, she will blossom into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! QUICK FACTS Name: Crown Age: Around 5 months old Gender: Male (Neutering to be scheduled) Breed: Jindo Shiba mix Color: Brown White Weight: 6kg / 13lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a very difficult start in life. My previous owner abandoned me as soon as they realized I was born with my paw claws fused together, and as just a baby, I was placed on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. When I was finally rescued, I was also battling anaplasmosis and hemoplasma from a tick infection. Thankfully, I received treatment in time and made a strong recovery. Now, I’m healthy, resilient, and ready to leave my past behind as I search for a loving forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy overall and fully recovered from anaplasmosis and hemoplasma. I was born with my right front paw missing some bones, but I don’t let that slow me down—I’m still young, active, and have no mobility issues. Since I’m growing, my paw will be monitored for now before considering corrective surgery.   MY PERSONALITY I’m a young, adorable, and curious boy who’s always excited to explore the world around me. Volunteers and staff say I show lots of Shiba-like traits. I’m energetic, smart, and able to focus when it counts. Every day is a new learning experience for me as I go through my important socialization stage, and I’m growing more confident little by little. I’m friendly, affectionate, and get along well with both people and other dogs.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly with people and warm up quickly to new faces. I love receiving pets and treats from everyone I meet, and I’m comfortable being picked up. · With Dogs: I’m very friendly with other dogs and absolutely love meeting new dog friends. I get excited to greet them and enjoy playful interactions, whether it’s a quick hello or spending time running around together. I have a social and easygoing nature that helps me get along well with others. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit. During walks, I may notice cats with a bit of curiosity, but I tend to lose interest quickly and move on.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate to high energy level, as expected for a young pup who’s curious and eager to explore the world. Once I’ve had a chance to play and burn off some energy, I settle down well and enjoy relaxing and snuggling.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners and may pull at times, but I follow my handler’s lead well and improve with guidance. As a young puppy, I’m continuing to build confidence, especially around loud noises, and I’m getting better day by day. I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs. I may bark for attention occasionally, but I settle down quickly. I’m also learning to rest calmly in my kennel. I’m currently potty trained both indoors on a pee pad and outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • I’m still a young pup, so I’ll need continued guidance, patience, and love as I learn and grow into a wonderful companion.   SPECIAL NOTES  I can be a little shy in new environments at first, but I adjust quickly and settle in with a bit of reassurance. I’m still learning and not perfect yet, but that just makes me all the more endearing. I’m like a sponge, soaking up new experiences and lessons every day as I grow and discover the world around me.   CROWN'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2714505##

QUICK FACTS Name: Cory Age: May 15, 2024 (About 2 Years Old) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Shiba – Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was born in a factory area, to a stray mom who was doing her best to keep me safe. Life started out uncertain, but I was rescued from the city shelter and given a chance to begin again. I may have come from a tough place, but I’m growing up with a hopeful heart, ready to learn what love and family feel like. Now, I am ready to start a new chapter of my life with my forever family.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Cory—a curious little explorer with a bright, playful spirit! If I hear something new or interesting, you’ll probably see me hopping up to check it out. I just have to know what’s going on! The world is full of exciting things, and I don’t want to miss any of it. I’m a smart cookie and love to play, especially with my toys. When I’m comfortable, my fun, bouncy personality really shines through—I can be quite the silly, energetic pup! If you’re patient and willing to go slow with me, I’ll reward you with trust, affection, and lots of playful moments. I just need someone to help me feel safe enough to be my happiest self.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but if you offer me a treat, I’ll happily come closer and take it. I just need a bit more time before I feel ready for pets—but once I do, I open up in my own sweet way. You can gently pick me up by supporting me under my belly and sometimes, even early on, I’ll roll over and show my belly. It’s my quiet way of saying I trust you.  I haven’t had the chance to meet children under 13 yet, so I may need a calm and thoughtful introduction. · With Dogs: I love making new dog friends—I’ll happily go up to say hello and invite them to play, even if we’ve just met. I feel especially comfortable around dogs that are around my size, and I usually get along really well with them. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate to high energy level – I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, and I feel my best when I’ve had plenty of exercise. Once I’ve burned off my energy, I’m able to settle down and relax nicely. I walk really well in quiet, peaceful areas, but busy roads with lots of cars can feel a little scary for me, so I appreciate a calm and steady environment where I can feel safe.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m very easygoing when it comes to food—I don’t feel the need to guard it, whether I’m around people or other dogs. I’m a quiet companion and don’t bark much. When I’m in my kennel, I settle in calmly and rest without any trouble. I usually prefer doing my business outside, so I’m most comfortable with outdoor potty routines.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES New people and unfamiliar places can make me a bit nervous at first. I need a little time to feel safe and understand my surroundings. But once I start to trust you, you’ll see a whole different side of me—I’ll let you pick me up, roll over to show you my belly, and happily soak up your love. Because I take a bit of time to adjust, I’d really benefit from a foster home first—somewhere I can settle in at my own pace and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.    CORY'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2708964##
