Story
Bell is a beautiful Shiba Inu with a gentle soul who is looking for a patient and understanding home. She can be nervous and shy when meeting new people and experiencing unfamiliar situations, but with time, consistency, and kindness, Bell begins to build trust and show her sweet personality.Because she is easily startled and may try to flee when frightened, Bell is considered a flight risk. She will need a dedicated adopter who understands the importance of secure handling, including keeping her on leash at all times when outside enclosed areas and ensuring doors, gates, and fences are always secure.Bell would do best in a calm home where she can settle in at her own pace. Her ideal family will respect her boundaries, celebrate her small victories, and help her gain confidence through positive experiences. While she may not be the type of dog who immediately seeks attention, the bond you build with Bell will be incredibly rewarding. If you have a quiet home, a secure environment, and the patience to help a shy dog blossom, Bell may be the perfect companion for you. She's looking for someone who will give her the time she needs to feel safe, loved, and at home. Primary Color: Red Secondary Color: White Weight: 7.9 Age: 1yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
My name is Jessie, and I’m a 2-year-old female Shiba × Jindo mix weighing around 13kg — a comfortable medium size, perfect for sharing everyday life together. I have the sweet fox-like face of a Shiba, mixed with the sturdy and graceful charm of a Jindo. People often notice my bright eyes and calm presence first… but the longer they spend with me, the more they fall in love with my quiet affection and gentle personality. Before I was rescued, I was on the euthanasia list at a shelter. Because of that, I think I understand more than most dogs how precious a real family can be. 💛 Thankfully, even after everything I’ve been through, I still have a very kind heart. I get along well with other dogs and usually live peacefully without conflict. I can be a little shy or cautious when meeting new people or entering unfamiliar environments, but that’s simply because I’m thoughtful and careful by nature. I’m not the type to rush up to strangers right away. But if you give me patience and kindness instead of pressure, something beautiful happens — one day I’ll quietly walk toward you first, wag my tail, and decide that you are someone I can trust. And once I open my heart, I become incredibly loving and loyal. I truly enjoy being near my people and sharing quiet companionship together. Because I’ve never really experienced normal family life before, there are still many things I need to learn after adoption. The sounds inside a home, neighborhood walks, house routines, alone time, visitors, and everyday family life may all feel new to me at first. During the first days or weeks, I may seem nervous, cautious, or unsure while adjusting to such a different environment. I might make mistakes sometimes — but those moments are not “bad behavior.” They are simply part of learning and healing. What I need most is not punishment, but patience. If you gently teach me things like potty routines, leash manners, house rules, and how to feel safe with people, I know I can continue growing into an amazing companion. Jindo mixes are known for being intelligent and observant, and I’m the kind of girl who pays close attention to my human’s emotions and routines. When I feel secure and understood, I learn very quickly. In the beginning, it will help me most if my new family gives me a calm, predictable routine and a quiet safe space where I can relax. Rather than rushing me into too many new experiences at once, I would do best with gentle guidance and time to adjust at my own pace. And once trust is built, I will give my whole heart in return. I may not be the kind of dog who feels “perfect” from the very first moment. But if you are looking for a companion to grow with, learn with, and slowly become family with, I truly believe I could bring deep love, warmth, and happiness into your life. A girl who was once almost forgotten is now waiting hopefully for her forever home. Maybe that family is you. 🐾 Love, Jessie

Story
Hi… my name is Gaon 🐕 I’m a 4-year-old male Shiba × Jindo mix, and I weigh about 18kg. I was once placed on a shelter’s euthanasia list. Even after I was rescued, no one came for me for a very long time. The shelter became the only home I knew—far longer than any dog should have to endure. When people approach me, I don’t rush forward with excitement. Instead, I watch carefully. I’m afraid you might leave. Afraid I might be alone again. So I open my heart slowly, cautiously. But behind that hesitation is a heart that longs deeply to love a person. I simply never learned how to show it. I went so long without being chosen, without being loved, that I don’t always know how to ask for affection. That’s why I struggle when attention is shared with other dogs. It’s not jealousy—it’s more like a quiet plea: “Please don’t leave me this time.” That’s why I’m hoping for an only-dog home, where I can finally feel secure. When it’s just you and me, I’m a completely different dog. I’ll meet your eyes, lean gently against you, and offer shy little gestures of affection. Once I give my heart, I give it fully— with the deep, unwavering loyalty that Jindo dogs are known for. Home life may feel unfamiliar to me at first. I’ll need time, patience, and understanding. But if you’re willing to walk that slow beginning with me, I promise you this: I will become a dog who makes one person my whole world. A once-in-a-lifetime companion who loves quietly, deeply, and forever. Somewhere in a shelter, I’m still waiting— waiting for the one person who will call my name and mean it for life.

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster homeHi… my name is Maesil 🍃I’m a 1-year-old Shiba × Jindo mix girl, about 10kg — small, bright, and just beginning my real life.I was rescued from a dog meat farm. Since the day I was born, I knew metal bars and loud, unfamiliar noises before I ever knew gentle hands. I spent more time enduring than learning, more time surviving than living. So when we first meet, I might be just a little cautious. But it’s not fear that fills my heart. It’s more like I’m softly asking, “Is this okay? Are you safe?” With one treat and one kind voice, my question melts away. I’ll carefully step closer… and before you know it, my tail will be wagging just for you.---Once I open up, I’m actually very affectionate. I love sitting close beside my person, looking into your eyes, and asking for attention in the sweetest ways. It almost feels like I instinctively know how to love — I just needed the chance to show it. I get along very well with other dogs my age. I enjoy playing and being part of a group. My energy is bright and healthy, and I carry a natural cheerfulness inside me.And walks? I absolutely love them. When I step outside, the whole world feels magical. Every sound, every breeze, every scent on the ground — it’s all new and fascinating. I haven’t been out in the world for very long, so everything is a discovery. The street noises, passing people, the wind brushing my fur… it’s my first time experiencing it all.---That also means home life is new to me — living inside a house, learning potty routines, understanding daily rhythms, spending time alone calmly, and learning the rules of living with people. No one has had the chance to teach me these things yet. So I will need patience. I will need guidance. I will need someone who teaches me slowly from the very beginning. But please don’t worry — I truly want to learn. I listen. I pay attention. I try. If you guide me with love instead of scolding, with patience instead of rushing, I promise I will grow into a stable and trustworthy companion.---I’m still young, and I’ve only just begun my “ordinary” life. I’m waiting to become someone’s joy — someone’s walking partner, someone who shares the start and end of each day. Will you be the family who teaches me all my firsts? Will you fill my world with love instead of fear? If you walk beside me from the beginning, I will stay beside you for the rest of my life. 🐾🤍

Story
Quick Facts Name: Jigu  Age: 4 years old  Gender: Female Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Shiba Jindo Mix  Color: Brown  Weight: 18kg    All About MeShe was a dog waiting for euthanasia at a shelter in Cheongju, Korea. But thanks to a warm helping hand, she was rescued and given a new chance at life.Jigu is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, but she is otherwise in good health and adjusting well. She can be a little shy at first and needs time to open up to new people, but she will gently accept treats, even from strangers. Once she warms up she becomes affectionate and enjoys being petted. She tends to bond faster with women and may need a little more time with men. She hasn’t had much experience around young children, so she may need slow and gentle introductions. She also doesn’t like being picked up with arms under her belly, as it makes her feel uncomfortable.   My PersonalityJigu is a calm and smart dog with a balanced energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities, but after a good walk, she’s happy to rest quietly indoors. She’s independent but shows deep affection once trust is built. While she doesn’t guard food from people, she may be cautious if another dog approaches during mealtime so she need own time when she is eating. She also may bark to express her needs or when encountering strangers, but she settles well once she feels secure. She tends to get jealous and would do best as the only pet in the home.   Social SkillsWith people – She needs time to open up but becomes affectionate and enjoys being touched. With children – she may feel a bit unfamiliar with young children and don’t have much experience. With other dogs – She may react if another dog is confrontational, so the first meeting should be supervised and slow. She has little jalouse and prefers to be the only dog in the household. With cats – she hasn't lived with cats, and there are no observed responses.   On My Walks‍Jigu has lots of walking experience and walks very well on a leash without pulling. She enjoys her outdoor time and likes exploring calmly by your side. She prefers to go potty outdoors, though she’s capable of doing so indoors if needed.   Life at HomeJigu is quiet and well behaved. She settles down nicely in a kennel and enjoys having a peaceful space to relax. She doesn’t guard food from people and appreciates a calm mealtime without interruptions. Jigu would thrive in a gentle, stable home where she can adjust at her own pace. With patience and love, she’ll open her heart fully and form a deep connection with her family.   Special NotesFor those who offer her time and understanding, Jigu gives back the kind of trust and love that’s truly special, quiet, loyal, and full of warmth.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Jigu's YouTube Playlist ##2458345##

Story
Hi… I’m Norang 🤍 I was found wandering in the mountains, after losing my mom. I wasn’t alone back then—I had my siblings with me. But one by one, they found their families and left for their new homes. Now… it’s just me. And I’m still here, waiting. Hoping my turn will come. I’m a bright and friendly boy. I like people, and I get along well with other dogs too. At first, I might feel a little shy… but if you give me just a little time, I’ll come closer with a wagging tail and a curious heart. Because I really do love being near you. I’m still just a puppy—only 1 years old. So I’m full of energy, curiosity, and a little bit of mischief too 😊 I love toys. I love running and playing. And every day, I’m learning something new about the world. There are still many things I don’t know yet. Living in a home, potty training, understanding what I can and can’t do… I’ll need you to teach me all of that, step by step. Sometimes I might chew on things, or make little mistakes. But I’m not trying to be bad—I’m just growing, learning, becoming who I’m meant to be. Right now, I’m not a “perfect” dog. I’m a dog in the middle of becoming. And that means something special— because you get to be part of who I grow into. With your love, your guidance, and your patience, I can become the best companion you could ever ask for. Even after losing my family, I still trust people. I still believe in love. Now I just need someone who won’t leave— someone who will stay, teach me, and grow with me. I don’t want to be alone anymore. I want a home. I want you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍
