Story
🧡 Hi, I'm Milo 🧡 Age: 1 year Breed: Jindo-Shiba Mix Sex: Male Weight: 8kg (just under 18 lbs) I may be fully grown, but I’m a little guy with a big heart—and I’m ready to fill your home with love, one pawstep at a time. People say I look like a little teddy bear, with my soft brown fur and round eyes that are always full of curiosity. I’m small, sweet, and full of quiet charm. You might never guess it from my gentle looks, but I’ve already been through a lot in my short life. I was once on a euthanasia list… but I was saved just in time. Since then, I’ve only known shelter life. A real home? I’ve never had one. But I’m hoping that’s about to change—with you. Because I’ve never lived in a house, I haven’t learned all the rules yet—especially when it comes to potty training. I’m not used to going inside or outside properly, so I’ll need your help learning a routine from scratch. If you gently guide me to the same spot after meals, naps, and playtime—and reward me with yummy treats when I get it right—I’ll catch on quickly. If I make mistakes, please don’t scold me. Just quietly clean up and help me try again. I really want to learn! At first, I might be a little unsure around new people. I don’t trust easily, but not because I don’t want to—it’s just that I’ve never really known what it means to feel safe. That said, I’m very curious, and I love food (especially treats from your hand!). Give me a bit of time, and you’ll see me coming over on my own, asking for pets and showing you my soft, cuddly side. Sometimes sudden movements or unfamiliar touches might startle me, so it’s best to approach slowly at first—low posture, calm energy, and of course… snacks! With your patience and kindness, I’ll learn that hands mean love, not fear. When it’s time for walks, I do best with a chest harness and a backup leash for safety—two points of security, just in case. Quiet streets are my favorite for now. With gentle exposure and encouragement, I’ll slowly grow more confident exploring the world by your side. I know I’m not perfect. I still have so much to learn. But now is the perfect time to teach me. I’m young, open-hearted, and so eager to bond. With love, patience, and a calm guiding hand, I’ll grow into a polite, loyal companion who brings joy to your everyday life. I’ve lived my life behind shelter walls—but I’m ready to trade that for warm beds, gentle walks, and a forever family to call my own. Could that family be you? With hope in my eyes and love in my little heart, Milo 🐾

QUICK FACTS Name: Siho Age: 3 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Shiba Color: Beige Weight: 13kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I’m not sure how I ended up abandoned at the city pound, suddenly on my own and trying my best to cope. Because the shelter was overcrowded, I was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully I was rescued just in time, and now I’m ready to find a forever family who will love and protect me.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi! I’m Siho. I’m an adorable little guy with all the classic shiba charm—from my fox-like looks to my expressive personality. I’m super social with people and enjoy hanging out with my dog friends too. Like a true shiba, I’m very clear about what I want, I occasionally let out my iconic “shiba screams,” and I flash my cute squinty shiba smile whenever I’m happy. I’m full of character in the best way!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m very friendly with people and love soaking up attention. I’ll even roll over for belly rubs right away—complete with my signature shiba smile. You can pick me up, too! I haven’t had much experience around kids yet, but with my sweet nature, I could do well with slow, mindful introductions and dog-savvy children. I can get a bit mouthy when I play (classic young shiba energy!), so I’ll need some basic obedience training to help me learn good manners and manage my excitement. · With Dogs: I’m social with my dog friends too! I love greeting new dogs and jumping into play, especially with pups around my own size. I’m still learning proper doggy manners though—I can be a little pushy at times (e.g. mounting), and I don’t always pick up on social cues right away. If another dog corrects me, I let out a dramatic shiba scream and act like the world is ending. I stay true to the dramatic shiba side. But underneath my goofy side, I truly want to make friends. With continued guidance, structure, and thoughtful introductions, I’ll keep growing into a well-mannered and confident playmate. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown, so I’m not sure how I’d behave just yet. A cat test can be arranged upon request to help find the best match!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a high energy level. I need lots of outdoor time and exhaust my energy before settling nicely indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull a bit, but overall I walk well on leash. I don’t guard my food against people or other dogs. I may bark for attention and can bark at strangers at first, but I settle with time and guidance. I’m still learning to relax in my kennel and might whine in the beginning. I potty both indoors (on a pee pad) and outdoors, and I may mark when I’m in a new environment until I feel fully settled.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment. A family that understands my rough past and is patient with me throughout. A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together. A family that will love and cherish me forever. Ideally, a family experienced with Shibas or primitive breeds who understands my typical Shiba traits and can continue my basic training.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a classic Shiba through and through—adorable, expressive, and full of personality! I can be a little dramatic, a little opinionated, and very clear about what I want, so I’ll thrive with a family who understands Shiba quirks and can guide me with patience and consistency. I’m still learning manners like calmer greetings, managing my excitement, and reading dog social cues, but I’m eager to learn with the right guidance. With a confident, Shiba-savvy family by my side, I know I’ll blossom into the funniest, most loving companion.   Siho's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2589530##

Story
Quick Facts  Name: Churro Age: 2 years old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Shiba corgi mix Colour: Black, Brown, White Weight: 20kg / 44lbs   My Rescue Story Hi there! I’m Churro. I was rescued just in time from the euthanasia list at a city pound along with my sibling, Carpoo. Even though life in the shelter was tough, I never let it take away my sparkle! Now, I’m ready to find my forever family who will love me, cherish me, and bring out all the joy and sweetness I have to share.   My Health Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been spayed and have no known health issues.   My Personality When you first meet me, you’ll instantly notice my adorable face and cute little short legs! I have the proud look of a Jindo, but with the charming short legs of a Corgi—making me extra unique and lovable. My beautiful fur coat looks even more stunning in person, and I carry myself with a calm, steady demeanor. I grew up in the city pound alongside my sibling, Carpoo, and now I’m ready to find a loving forever family who will appreciate my sweet, quiet nature.     My Social Skills With People: I’m a little timid when you first meet me, but give me some tasty treats and a gentle approach, and I warm up quickly! Once I feel safe, I happily accept pets and affection. It doesn’t take long for me to open up, and I love showing my belly as a sign of trust—and you can even pick me up once I feel comfortable. I haven’t had much experience with kids yet, but with thoughtful introductions and respectful little hands, I’m confident I’ll do wonderfully. With Dogs:  I love greeting new dog friends, though I don’t always jump straight into play. I usually get along best with dogs my size or smaller. Sometimes super energetic pups can be a little overwhelming for me, but the good news is I’m very calm and polite—I prefer to avoid conflict and will gracefully step away even if another dog is being pushy. With Cats:  I haven’t met any cats yet, so my reaction is unknown.   Energy & Activities  I have a wonderfully low energy level and I’m a total couch potato! I love to rest, relax, and snuggle indoors, making me the perfect companion for cozy afternoons and quiet moments with my favorite humans.   Training & Habits  I generally walk nicely on leash and follow my handler’s lead, though I may pull a little if something catches my attention. I love taking my time to sniff and explore during walks—it’s one of my favorite things! I walk best in quieter areas, as loud noises and lots of cars can startle me. I’m polite around food and don’t guard it from people or other dogs. I’m usually very quiet and rarely bark, though I may alert you to a stranger at first before quickly settling down. I’m still learning to relax in my kennel and may whine a little at first. I prefer to go potty outdoors, where I can really stretch my legs and enjoy some fresh air.   My Ideal Home I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. I’m a couch potato so if you’re looking for a calm dog, then I’m your gal! A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that is willing to guide me with patience and understanding as I come out of my shell.   SPECIAL NOTES Staff and volunteers often compliment me on how calm and composed I am. I love resting and sleeping—I’m more of an introvert who enjoys quiet time. When other dogs are playing nearby, I’m perfectly content to relax in my corner and watch. But don’t let my calm demeanor fool you! After a good rest, I get bursts of energy and love to zoom around during my walks, showing off my playful side.     For More YouTube Clips, Click Below! Story
Currently in a toronto foster home 🐾 Hi there, I'm Yenny! 🐾 Breed: Jindo-Shiba Mix Sex: Female Weight: ~15kg (about 33 lbs) I may have had a rough start in life, but I'm ready to turn the page and begin a brand new chapter—with you. I grew up in a shelter and spent most of my early life behind bars. It was a lonely and uncertain time, and I even found myself on the euthanasia list. But just when things seemed darkest, I was rescued and given a second chance. These days, I’m living at a training center where the kind humans are helping me discover how good life can really be. Despite my past, I’m a bright, happy girl with a heart full of love. I’m not shy at all—I love meeting people, playing, and sharing joyful moments. I also get along great with other dogs, so if you have a pup already, I’d probably love to be their friend! At first, I might seem a little unsure how to approach you—I didn’t get a lot of chances to interact with people growing up. But once I feel your kind touch, I warm up quickly. You’ll see me wagging my tail, leaning in for more pets, and showing you all my cute, cuddly sides. Treats? Yes, please! I’m very food-motivated, which means training me is easier (and more fun!). I’m still getting the hang of outdoor potty habits, but with a little routine and patience—like guiding me to a regular spot after meals or walks—I’ll catch on quickly. I’m a smart cookie, I promise! One thing I’m working on is being okay alone. I’ve never really been by myself before, so I might feel anxious at first. But with enough daily exercise, playtime, and love, I’ll start to understand that being alone sometimes is okay—and that you’ll always come back for me. I know I still have a lot to learn, but I have just as much love to give. I’m eager to be part of a family—to learn what it means to have a home, a bed that’s mine, and humans who love me unconditionally. I may not have had that before, but I believe it’s waiting for me… maybe with you? So, what do you say—can we grow together? With a wagging tail and hopeful heart, 💛 Yenny

QUICK FACTS Name: Miller Age: 3 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Shiba & Jindo mix Color: Beige & Cream Weight: 10kg / 22lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I’m not sure how I ended up all alone in the city pound, but I was placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space for dogs like me. Despite that scary chapter, I never lost my gentle, loving heart—and now I’m just hoping to find the forever family who will give me the safe, happy life I’ve been waiting for.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues I had to undergo surgery to remove my right eye, but my left eye has good vision and no issues.   MY PERSONALITY Hi! I’m Miller. I’m not sure how my right eye got injured, but when I was rescued, it was in a very bad shape and I needed surgery to have it removed. Even with just my left eye, I don’t let it slow me down or dampen my spirit! I’m a sweet, gentle boy who truly loves people. I’m naturally a little shy at first, but with patience I warm up—and volunteers and staff can always see that I want to interact, even if I hesitate in the beginning. I’m getting braver every day, learning to trust more, and showing more of my affectionate, friendly side as I grow confident.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be shy in the beginning, but I’ll gently take treats from your hand. After I warm up, I’m comfortable with pets and gentle affection. Once trust is established, I can be picked up. I’m a sweet boy who enjoys people, and as I grow more confident and settled in my new home, I’ll become a loyal shadow. · With Dogs: I’m pretty indifferent with other dogs. I can get overwhelmed by high-energy pups and prefer to do my own thing, calmly observing the environment. If another dog is rude or pushy, I simply walk away from the drama and avoid conflict. ·With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to find the best match!   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending time outdoors, but I’m just as happy to snuggle up indoors afterward.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely. I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs—in fact, I have a big appetite and love treats, so I’m eager to please and learn. I’m confident I’ll pick up training quickly. I’m very quiet and rarely bark, and I know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I do struggle with car rides, as I can get motion sickness. I potty both indoors (on pee pads) and outdoors, though I may mark a little when I’m adjusting to a new environment.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment. A family that understands my rough past and is patient with me throughout and continue to provide me with basic training and socialization. A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together. A family that will love and cherish me forever. Ideally, a family experienced with Shibas and primitive breeds. The only dog in the household.   SPECIAL NOTES Don’t let my shyness fool you—I’m a sweet boy who really does like people. I just need a little time at first to show my affectionate side. I’m improving every day, and I’m confident that in a loving home I’ll fully come out of my shell and express myself. I wag my tail and show interest in people, even if I hesitate at the start. I love treats and I’m very food-motivated, so I’m eager to learn and please. I’m considered to be a level 3 rescue dog, meaning I will take at least a week to open up and feel more settled in a new environment. I must wear my martingale collar at all times and double-leashed to my harness and collar with a GPS tracker when outside to keep me safe.   Miller's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2595121##

Story
Quick Facts Name: Jigu  Age: 4 years old  Gender: Female Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Shiba Jindo Mix  Color: Brown  Weight: 18kg    All About MeShe was a dog waiting for euthanasia at a shelter in Cheongju, Korea. But thanks to a warm helping hand, she was rescued and given a new chance at life.Jigu is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm, but she is otherwise in good health and adjusting well. She can be a little shy at first and needs time to open up to new people, but she will gently accept treats, even from strangers. Once she warms up she becomes affectionate and enjoys being petted. She tends to bond faster with women and may need a little more time with men. She hasn’t had much experience around young children, so she may need slow and gentle introductions. She also doesn’t like being picked up with arms under her belly, as it makes her feel uncomfortable.   My PersonalityJigu is a calm and smart dog with a balanced energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities, but after a good walk, she’s happy to rest quietly indoors. She’s independent but shows deep affection once trust is built. While she doesn’t guard food from people, she may be cautious if another dog approaches during mealtime so she need own time when she is eating. She also may bark to express her needs or when encountering strangers, but she settles well once she feels secure. She tends to get jealous and would do best as the only pet in the home.   Social SkillsWith people – She needs time to open up but becomes affectionate and enjoys being touched. With children – she may feel a bit unfamiliar with young children and don’t have much experience. With other dogs – She may react if another dog is confrontational, so the first meeting should be supervised and slow. She has little jalouse and prefers to be the only dog in the household. With cats – she hasn't lived with cats, and there are no observed responses.   On My Walks‍Jigu has lots of walking experience and walks very well on a leash without pulling. She enjoys her outdoor time and likes exploring calmly by your side. She prefers to go potty outdoors, though she’s capable of doing so indoors if needed.   Life at HomeJigu is quiet and well behaved. She settles down nicely in a kennel and enjoys having a peaceful space to relax. She doesn’t guard food from people and appreciates a calm mealtime without interruptions. Jigu would thrive in a gentle, stable home where she can adjust at her own pace. With patience and love, she’ll open her heart fully and form a deep connection with her family.   Special NotesFor those who offer her time and understanding, Jigu gives back the kind of trust and love that’s truly special, quiet, loyal, and full of warmth.   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Jigu's YouTube Playlist ##2458345##
