Story
Est. DOB: 06/25/2025 Current Weight: 38lbs Adoption fee: $175 Jolene is a beautiful young girl with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love. After being abandoned and left to survive on the streets for three weeks, a kindhearted person finally brought her to safety. Now she's ready to leave her past behind and find the loving family she has always deserved. Jolene is incredibly friendly, affectionate, and full of energy. She greets every day with enthusiasm and has a happy, loving personality that wins over everyone she meets. She would thrive in a home where she can be part of the family adventures—whether that's going for walks, hiking new trails, jogging alongside you, or simply enjoying playtime in the yard. After a day of fun, she's more than happy to curl up on the couch for snuggles. Jolene truly is the perfect combination of active and affectionate. As a young dog, Jolene is still learning and would benefit from continued training to help her become the best companion she can be. She'll do best with an active family who can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Another playful resident dog (who enjoys wrestling) would also be a wonderful match to help her burn off energy and enjoy having a canine friend. Jolene is looking for a family that will provide the stability, patience, and unconditional love she's been waiting for. In return, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a lifetime of joyful companionship. If you're searching for a fun-loving adventure buddy with a big heart and an even bigger spirit, Jolene just might be your perfect match. Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Patience, consistency, and continued training may be needed as the dog adjusts to their new home. Breed descriptions are provided as a general estimate based on the dog's size, shape, and appearance. These descriptions are not definitive and should be considered a "guestimate." Story
Hi… my name is Gaon 🐕 I’m a 4-year-old male Shiba × Jindo mix, and I weigh about 18kg.I was once placed on a shelter’s euthanasia list. Even after I was rescued, no one came for me for a very long time. The shelter became the only home I knew—far longer than any dog should have to endure. When people approach me, I don’t rush forward with excitement. Instead, I watch carefully. I’m afraid you might leave. Afraid I might be alone again. So I open my heart slowly, cautiously. But behind that hesitation is a heart that longs deeply to love a person. I simply never learned how to show it. I went so long without being chosen, without being loved, that I don’t always know how to ask for affection. That’s why I struggle when attention is shared with other dogs. It’s not jealousy—it’s more like a quiet plea: “Please don’t leave me this time.”That’s why I’m hoping for an only-dog home, where I can finally feel secure. When it’s just you and me, I’m a completely different dog. I’ll meet your eyes, lean gently against you, and offer shy little gestures of affection. Once I give my heart, I give it fully— with the deep, unwavering loyalty that Jindo dogs are known for.Home life may feel unfamiliar to me at first. I’ll need time, patience, and understanding. But if you’re willing to walk that slow beginning with me, I promise you this: I will become a dog who makes one person my whole world. A once-in-a-lifetime companion who loves quietly, deeply, and forever.Somewhere in a shelter, I’m still waiting— waiting for the one person who will call my name and mean it for life.

Story
Hi… I’m Norang 🤍 I was found wandering in the mountains, after losing my mom. I wasn’t alone back then—I had my siblings with me. But one by one, they found their families and left for their new homes. Now… it’s just me. And I’m still here, waiting. Hoping my turn will come. I’m a bright and friendly boy. I like people, and I get along well with other dogs too. At first, I might feel a little shy… but if you give me just a little time, I’ll come closer with a wagging tail and a curious heart. Because I really do love being near you. I’m still just a puppy—only 1 years old. So I’m full of energy, curiosity, and a little bit of mischief too 😊 I love toys. I love running and playing. And every day, I’m learning something new about the world. There are still many things I don’t know yet. Living in a home, potty training, understanding what I can and can’t do… I’ll need you to teach me all of that, step by step. Sometimes I might chew on things, or make little mistakes. But I’m not trying to be bad—I’m just growing, learning, becoming who I’m meant to be. Right now, I’m not a “perfect” dog. I’m a dog in the middle of becoming. And that means something special— because you get to be part of who I grow into. With your love, your guidance, and your patience, I can become the best companion you could ever ask for. Even after losing my family, I still trust people. I still believe in love. Now I just need someone who won’t leave— someone who will stay, teach me, and grow with me. I don’t want to be alone anymore. I want a home. I want you. Will you be my forever family? 🤍

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster homeHi, I'm Nire! 🤍🐾 My name is Nire, and I'm a 3-year-old Shiba Inu mix girl weighing 14.3 kg (31.5 lbs). I have bright round eyes, a happy smile, and a heart full of love just waiting for my forever family. Before I was rescued, life was not very kind to me. I was saved from a shelter where my future was uncertain, but you would never guess it from the way I greet each day. I love people, I love being loved, and I still believe the best is yet to come. When we first meet, I might be a little shy and cautious. New places and unfamiliar faces can make me nervous for a moment. But if you give me a little patience and kindness, I'll soon come over to say hello, ask for pets, and show you my sweet and affectionate side. I enjoy spending time with other dogs, but if I'm being honest, people are my favorite. Nothing makes me happier than going for a walk together, sharing quiet moments, making eye contact, and simply being near the people I love. I dream of a family who wants a loyal companion to share everyday life with.I'm a smaller-sized girl with a calm and gentle personality. I don't need to be the center of attention. I'm happiest quietly staying by your side, watching the world together. As our bond grows, you'll discover that I'm actually quite the little sweetheart who loves affection and may even follow you around the house just to be close to you. I'm still working on my potty training, but I'm eager to learn and adapt. Because I enjoy human companionship and respond well to gentle guidance, I believe I'll settle into home life beautifully with a family willing to help me along the way.I've already survived one difficult chapter in my life. Now I'm hoping for a new beginning—a home filled with love, patience, and belonging. I don't need anything fancy. I just want a family to love and a place where I can finally stay forever. Could that family be you?Love,Nire 🤍
