Story
Meet Danbi — Looking for Her Forever Family!   Name: Danbi Age: 3 years Sex: Spayed Female Spayed: Yes Breed: Shiba–Jindo Mix Color: Brown Weight: 13kg Height (shoulder): 41cm   Rescue Story   Danbi entered a city shelter with her four newborn puppies. Sadly, all her puppies passed away there, and she was rescued on June 15, 2023. She has since spent 2.5 years living safely at the shelter and is now finally ready for a loving home of her own.   ‍‍ Socialization with People   Danbi is affectionate and friendly — she approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people on her own, leans in for pets, and enjoys being touched. She likes both women and men.   She hasn’t met children under 13, but based on her calm, gentle nature, we expect she will do well with them. She can be picked up with arms under her belly, and once she bonds with you, she’ll even show her tummy for belly rubs.   Socialization with Dogs   Danbi absolutely loves other dogs. She greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs politely and invites them to play. Her dog social skills are excellent — even when another dog jumps on her or plays a bit too rough, she never reacts negatively.   She especially enjoys dogs around her size and thrives with friendly, playful companions.   Cats   She shows curiosity when she sees cats on walks but will follow her handler’s lead without pulling or lunging. A cat test can be arranged upon request.   Energy Level   Danbi has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities but settles calmly afterward. Inside the home, she is relaxed and easygoing.   ‍ Walking Manners   Danbi loves sniffing, so her pace is “walk–stop–sniff–walk.” She walks well in quiet areas but becomes slightly hesitant in heavy traffic. If she gets scared, she does not bolt — instead, she stays close to her handler and walks slowly beside them.   Other Behaviors • No food guarding toward people or dogs • Not vocal — rarely barks • No separation anxiety • Calm in the crate • Prefers doing her potty outdoors   If you think sweet Danbi could be the perfect addition to your family, please submit an application through our website Apply to foster or adopt to show him how beautiful the world can be. www.adoptmekr.org Please visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
🏠Currently in a Toronto foster home Hi, I’m Cici — and I can’t wait to meet my forever family. 🤎 I’m a 3-year-old Jindo–Shiba mix girl with a strong, healthy 16.8kg body and an even stronger heart. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Korea — a place where my story almost ended before it truly began. But I got a second chance, and now I’m living safely in a foster home in Toronto, hoping the next part of my journey leads me straight into your arms. I love people. Really, truly love them. Even when I meet someone for the first time, I open my heart right away — wagging my tail, smiling, and gently asking for affection. I’m the type who likes to stay close, make eye contact, and share warm moments of connection. People say I have a very soft, loving soul. On walks, I get a little excited and may pull on the leash, but I’m practicing and getting better every day. I adjust quickly to new places and sounds, so everyday life with me is easy and fun. I also get along well with other dogs. I do have one thing to keep in mind: when I see small animals like cats or birds, my curiosity kicks in and I want to chase them. So in a home with different kinds of pets, I would need careful management. I’m a healthy eater, a bright and gentle girl, and I’ve been told more than once that I’m pretty adorable too. Just being near me, people say they feel warm — maybe that’s my special charm. Right now, I’m waiting for a forever family who will love me completely. Once I give my heart, I love deeply and for life. Please adopt me, and let me bring love, warmth, and joy into your home. 🤎

He's a sweet dog. All he wants is love and a dog companion. He's a hyper one with howls for days. I can drive him anywhere in washington to you. Please help him. He may need resocializing, and some basic training. We've had to move around alot so hes been outside alone most days since his brother passed. Please keep in mind this isn't a dog for people who think its okay to hit. He needs a home.. Sadly, I can't give him that 😔

Story
Gigi is a very independent dog. She can spend hours outdoors while taking breaks inside. I recommend a doggy door, because she also likes checking in with family members! While she is not a cuddle bug, she definitely loves hanging out on a special blanket, close to mom or dad! Gigi is three years old, not quite a puppy, but loves playing like one! She especially loves catching balls, more than going on walks. She throws them back to you. Gigi is extremely smart! I have observed her problem solve on her own. She really doesn't eat a whole lot, and is actually dainty with her meals. I give her some chicken and rice with her kibble, so she does eat a little more. So, Gigi's history, is that my daughter purchased her from a reputable breeder in So Cal. Two years ago she moved to our house, in the Pacific Northwest. Gigi was her second Sheba. A few weeks ago she moved to her own place, but could only have one dog. I agreed to take care of her, until she was re-homed. We are gone a lot.

Hi! My name is Blue, and I came all the way from South Korea in hopes of finding my forever family. I’m a 3-year-old Shiba Inu mix boy, weighing about 13 lbs — small, spirited, and ready to start fresh. (My age and weight are estimated.) I was saved from a high-kill shelter in South Korea, where many dogs never get the chance to know comfort or love. Now, I’m ready for a brand-new beginning filled with kindness, safety, and a place to finally call home. I’ve traveled a long way to get here, and I’m so hopeful for my next chapter. Adoption Details My adoption fee of $1,695 is a non-refundable donation that helps save the lives of more dogs in need. It covers my: Neuter Vaccinations Microchip Boarding fees Health certificate Transport costs from South Korea to Seattle &#226&#156&#136&#239&#184&#143 A GPS tracker or Apple AirTag is required for all adopted dogs — you may bring your own or purchase one from us. Story
Meet Dongree   Breed: Shiba mix Age: 4 years old Sex: Spayed female Colour: Brown Weight: 14kg Height (to shoulder): 45cm   Rescue Story   Donggree was rescued from a city shelter’s euthanasia list and has been waiting patiently ever since for a family of her own.   She may take a few days to open up — usually between 3 days to a week — but once she feels safe, her loving and playful personality shines through. She’s affectionate with familiar people and allows gentle handling or even being lifted once trust is built.   Personality & Socialization   Donggree has the classic Shiba mix personality — a little cautious at first, independent, yet deeply loyal once she bonds with you.   She gets along well with most dogs, both larger and smaller, but can react if another dog challenges her. For this reason, careful introductions with new dogs are recommended. With friendly dogs, however, she loves to play and enjoys companionship.   Her reaction to cats hasn’t been observed yet.   Energy Level & Behavior   Donggree has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor walks and activities but settles calmly afterward. She walks well overall, though she may pull on the leash occasionally. Once the leash is on, she follows nicely and enjoys the walk.   She doesn’t guard food from people or other dogs and behaves quietly in her kennel. She feels anxious about car rides, so she prefers to be held during transport.   She’s comfortable using both pee pads indoors and pottying outdoors, which makes her adaptable to different home environments.   A Loyal and Independent Spirit   Donggree is a bright, affectionate girl with that unmistakable Shiba charm — loyal, clean, and quietly confident. She may be cautious at first, but with patience and consistency, she opens up to reveal a loving heart.   Once she trusts you, she’ll become your faithful shadow, following you with her signature calm energy and gentle eyes.   Ideal Home: A patient and understanding family who can give her the time she needs to build trust. A home that appreciates the independent but affectionate nature of Shiba mixes would be perfect for her.   Donggree may take a little time to trust, but once she does, she’ll stay by your side for life — loyal, loving, and full of quiet strength.
