Panda is a very special dog with the most beautiful, soulful eyes and a gentle, expressive face. He’s incredibly smart – almost like a little kid – and really understands the people around him. He learns quickly, picks up routines fast, and loves being involved in whatever you’re doing. We are heartbroken to be looking for a new home for him, but since our newborn baby arrived, Panda has been struggling with the change. He does not get along well with the baby, and it’s becoming stressful for everyone. We love him very much, but we want him to have a life where he feels safe, relaxed, and fully loved — and where the environment is a better fit for his needs. Panda does best in a home: • With no newborns or very young children • With someone who can be with him most days (flexible schedule, retired, or home a lot) • With a person or family who can give him plenty of attention, affection, and patience • Who understands that he’s sensitive and thrives on feeling secure and included

Meet Mei Mei!&#226&#128&#168Born in February 2022 and weighing under 15 pounds, Mei Mei is a pocket-sized bundle of happy energy. This sweet girl has one main goal in life: to be close to her people. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or moving around the house, she’ll be right there with you—tail wagging and heart full. Mei Mei is a champion snuggler who loves to curl up on your lap or in a cozy bed. But she’s not a total couch potato either. When she’s not glued to her foster mom’s side or napping, she loves to sniff around the yard or play with her foster siblings. She does have some hip issues, and is scheduled for an orthopedic consult in mid-December to learn more about how to best support her long-term comfort and mobility. For now, she gets around well and still has plenty of pep in her step. In fact, she would do best in a home with a fenced in yard because she loves to run and explore and will definitely chase squirrels! Mei Mei has displayed some destructive behavior when left alone, so she does need to be crated. If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a huge heart, Mei Mei might be your perfect match. Truffles joins the Northstar family at age 14. She is in good shape for her age, except her eyesight isn’t great, she has no teeth, and she has a mild heart murmur. (No meds needed at this point.) A shih tzu/poodle mix, Truffles is house and crate trained. And she weighs 10 pounds. As we learn more about this sweet girl, we will update here! DOB 4-28-2025 Pierre is beautiful dark Cafe au lait color, He gets along with others, is social and kind. Pierre is neutered, heartworm negative, has received a ProHeart 6 Heartworm preventative injection and is up to date on all other medical. Pierre has all of his medical and registration papers that will come with him and is micro chipped. This boy is only 5 pounds with Cafe au lait curls and short little legs. His adoption fee is 850.00 and transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they make delivery to the NE stops every other week. They are a wonderful transport and the only one we will use. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. After you submit your application please allow a few days to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We do look for the best home that fits each of our pets, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved we with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the pet you are interested in.Together we can decide if this is the best choice for both.
