Story

Shampoo has picture perfect, pantene curls. Soft and silky, it's hard to stop petting her, and she loves to be held and cuddled, so she will have no objections! Shampoo came to Cameron Animal Hospital after being left at a grooming salon because her former owners could not care for her. She is a sweet, silly, affectionate puppy. She loves people and being pet and held. She is shy but very interested in other dogs, and would thrive with another dog to help her build her confidence as long as there are slow introductions. Shampoo is generally a healthy girl - but she was born with a defect in both of her knees. Her knee caps are dislocated, which prevents her from straightening her back legs fully, and makes her bend over when she walks. She needs surgery to move her kneecaps back into place; with that surgery she will make a full recovery and finally be able to run and play the way she wants to! Shampoo's adoption includes- full series of DHLPPi (distemper), Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; 1 month of heartworm and flea/tick treatment; fecal testing, and deworming; spay; microchip; and 30 days of free insurance. We are looking for an adopter with an extensive previous vet reference. Shampoo is good with dog-savy cats, younger children, and other calm dogs. Shampoo can't wait to meet her forever family! Hi there, I’m Rosie, a very happy and friendly little 8.5 lb Shih Tzu/Poodle mix with gobs of energy and a sweet demeanor. I was born 9/23/24 in San Antonio, Texas, to a lady who eventually became homeless. She did the best she could caring for me, but eventually decided I deserved a better life and sold me to 4 Little Paws Rescue. Since then, I have caught up on my vaccines, been spayed and microchipped, went to the groomers, and now I am ready to find a wonderful future somewhere in the Northeastern states. Besides having a lot of spunk, I have a lot of personality and playful energy. I enjoy running zoomies, chatting about my day, and I love being carried and held, but not for too long. I am not into doggy toys, but I am into doggy treats, belly rubs, and having my teeth brushed! Yep, every night before bed, if you ask me, “Rosie, want your teeth brushed?” I will jump and stand up on your legs, awaiting the toothbrush. I know some basic commands, like sit, stay, lie down, and roll over, and I am doing well with housebreaking and leash walking. Panda is a very special dog with the most beautiful, soulful eyes and a gentle, expressive face. He’s incredibly smart – almost like a little kid – and really understands the people around him. He learns quickly, picks up routines fast, and loves being involved in whatever you’re doing. We are heartbroken to be looking for a new home for him, but since our newborn baby arrived, Panda has been struggling with the change. He does not get along well with the baby, and it’s becoming stressful for everyone. We love him very much, but we want him to have a life where he feels safe, relaxed, and fully loved — and where the environment is a better fit for his needs. Meet Mei Mei!&#226&#128&#168Born in February 2022 and weighing under 15 pounds, Mei Mei is a pocket-sized bundle of happy energy. This sweet girl has one main goal in life: to be close to her people. Whether you’re working, relaxing, or moving around the house, she’ll be right there with you—tail wagging and heart full. Mei Mei is a champion snuggler who loves to curl up on your lap or in a cozy bed. But she’s not a total couch potato either. When she’s not glued to her foster mom’s side or napping, she loves to sniff around the yard or play with her foster siblings. She does have some hip issues, and is scheduled for an orthopedic consult in mid-December to learn more about how to best support her long-term comfort and mobility. For now, she gets around well and still has plenty of pep in her step. In fact, she would do best in a home with a fenced in yard because she loves to run and explore and will definitely chase squirrels!
