Andy is a dorky goof Shih Poo bundle of fun Hey everyone! Exciting news... this week Rock N' Rescue has the most amazing 6 yr old Shih Poo ever, ready to go to his forever home! Please make sure to read ALL info below BEFORE applying. NO applications accepted by anyone under the age of 25 please (parent or guardian must apply) and you MUST have dog experience. Cutest ever - Shih Tzu Poodle boy mini lover still with a puppy spirit - can't be any more super delicious in every way. Crate and housetrained and just a great match for an adult family looking for this breed. Sadly we don't have much history - he was a drop off from someone who didn't leave any info and were moving! No words but this is his past - he was obviously loved too as he does not seem to suffer from any trauma. He was then fostered with great care in one of our southern rescuer's homes and is now moving to our northern foster here in NY/CT. He is heartworm negative and neutered and vaccinated too!. He loves to play in the yard and is good on a leash and loves being by your side. He is a cat chaser so no cats please. He also can be an escape artist so a fully fenced yard or watchful eye on a leash only - no leashless walking. Great for all families - he loves kids - who want not just a super dog but a goofy goofball Shih Poo as he is typical of his breed. Tiny floof too! His foster reports, "He is so much fun and even loves my dog and just wants to be a snuggle boy! Sleeps by my side. We are still learning his quirks but a family that understands that he is still adjusting to his loss of his first home will certainly earn his love and vice versa!" Andy is a small dog at 18 lbs and is a perfect size right now. He has had his vaccines and microchip and has been dewormed/defleaed too. HEARTWORM NEGATIVE neutered etc... Donation minimum is $350 to cover his transport here and all of his vetting. Out of state adopters MUST pick up in Bedford Hills NY - no exceptions.

Story
Sophie(also goes by Girlfriend) is a sweet, loving Shih-Poo who has been with me her whole life. She was born around Christmas 2016, and I’ve been her only owner since she was a puppy. She grew up around kids and cats and loves cuddling, attention, and being close to her people. She’s happiest relaxing next to you or following you around the house.Sophie would do best in a calm, loving home where she can continue getting lots of affection and one-on-one attention. She is not comfortable around other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog in the home.As she has gotten older, she developed a growth near one of her nipples and has occasional seizure-like episodes about twice a year, so she may need future veterinary care.This is an extremely difficult decision because she is deeply loved. My biggest priority is finding her the safest, most loving and permanent home possible.

Minnow is a 5 year old shih poo who loves adventuring outside just as much as snoozing near you at home. He is spunky, curious, loves to learn, and is a notorious sock stealer. He is always entertaining with silly noises and a playful spirit. Minnow would do great in a home with one or more dogs. He is anxious around new people and does best with a slow introduction. He is friendly and loving with people he knows, but would not do well in an environment with lots of new people coming in and out. It's a very difficult decision to re-home him, but I think he would thrive in a home with more consistent routine and another dog. Please only apply if you are open to getting to know each other!
