Sweet Blake is the most wonderful 4 year old standard poodle male that weighs 65 pounds and is the kind of guy who’s up for about anything. Up for a walk? YES. Wanna hang out and watch tv? YES. Let’s get the ball and play fetch! YES. He’s a 4-(turns 5 in July) year-old poodle who grew up in a home with parents who adored him, and two toddler ‘sisters’. Due to a family tragedy, he’s now in a position where he’s looking for a family who loved him as much as his original one. While he’s confused about what happened to his people, he’s very loving with his foster family. He comes over often for head scratches and pets, and gets along well with the other dogs in the house. At his original home, his dad would ride an electric bike, and had a veterinarian-designed attachment where Blake could run alongside the bike. He loved that. Blake is house-trained, and is not a big barker. He loves to sleep on his dog bed next to the peoples’ bed. Although there’s really not much of a reason to need to put him in a crate, Blake is familiar with staying in one. But he prefers to be with people and/or other dogs. Even in this transitional period in his life, Blake is even-tempered, loving, and gentle. He thrives on attention and affection and would be a great move-in ready addition to someone’s family. We rescued him from a shelter when he was about 6 months old. In the 5+ years we've had him, he's been a good, loyal, energetic, and well-fed boy. Adopt Ty! 🐾 Ty is estimated to be 3-4 years old, and is a purebred Standard Poodle weighing around 60 pounds. His foster family says he’s truly as sweet as they come. This lovable boy has a wonderful personality and so much love to give. He quickly becomes everyone’s best friend and absolutely loves meeting new people. Ty thrives on companionship and being part of the family. Ty has excellent house manners and is fully housebroken. He can be trusted out of a crate when left alone and is not destructive in the home. He sleeps soundly through the night for 8–9 hours and is generally a very quiet dog, only barking occasionally if he hears an unusual noise outside. This handsome guy enjoys his routines, especially his long morning walks, and he always has a healthy appetite! Like many curious pups, he has occasionally been known to “counter surf,” and he could benefit from some continued work on basic commands and training. He will also need regular professional grooming every 4-6 weeks to keep him looking and feeling his best! Ty has only been in the car a couple of times, but with patience and more positive experiences, we think he’ll get used to it quickly. We are still learning about how he interacts with other dogs (he has been around them in previous living situations), so proper slow introduction will be necessary for safe integration. We prefer he goes to a home without cats at this time. We think Ty would thrive in a forever home where he has plenty of companionship during the day, as well as plenty of structured exercise. He would likely do wonderfully with an active and experienced family (kids age 8+) who would enjoy playing with him and including him in daily life. A fenced yard is ideal.
