While he’s not into chasing balls, Biscuit enjoys gentle tug and play-fighting with toys or gloves and is respectful during play. He walks well on a leash, gets along around other dogs, and is continuing to improve his crate and house manners. Biscuit is honest about his feelings and does best when his boundaries are respected. He can resource guard bones and may growl if startled, picked up unexpectedly, or if someone moves in too quickly while he’s bonding with another person. For that reason, he’s best suited for an adult-only home as an only dog, ideally with a dog-savvy couple who values calm routines and clear communication. Vincent was found as a stray and taken to the San Diego Humane Society. Sadly, no one came to claim him, so on December 2nd, we welcomed him as a Frosted Face. Vincent is estimated to be 12 years old weighs 13 lbs., and is so sweet and gentle. He is great with children, other dogs, and cats. Like many seniors, Vincent has limited vision and hearing, but he doesn't let that stop him from enjoying simple pleasures such as going to the beach with his friends (see video) or being a loving and devoted companion. Vincent recently returned from a 3-week Frosted Fling, and his foster mom shared: "Vincent is an absolute love. He is super mellow and gets along with everyone. He loves his people and likes to be close to them. He will find a comfy bed to sleep close to them and when he wakes up, will get up and look for them. Meet Stash - he is Affectionate, Couch, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Loves, Loyal, Playful, Smart. Stash is an 8-year-old Shih Tzu looking for his forever loving home. He had a rough time before he came to ARRF as a foster; since then, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy pooch. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines. He weighs 12 lbs. Stash can be nippy until he realizes you are there just for him, and then he will love you and be a happy boy in his very own home. His little life hasn't been the happiest until now so he is loathe to share with others. Lots of love and belly rugs will go a long way with this cutie! Lil Sia is a wonderful purebred Shih Tzu girl who is seven months old. Sia came to us before she was born; her mom came from a breeder and was pregnant. Luckily, Sia’s mom had her beautiful pups in a great foster home. Sia is sweet, playful, and very friendly. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and is playpen and house-trained. Sia would love another dog in her forever home that she could play with. Her adopter should either be retired or working from home. She is such a happy little girl and full of love. Meet handsome Toto. He is approximately 4 yrs old and 18 lbs. Toto was found on the streets with no ID tag and his owners couldn't be located. He was taken to the vet for check up, vaccinations, deworming, neutering and teeth cleaning. Since his rescue Toto has been living with a foster family. He is housetrained and behaves very well, not destructive. He is very friendly with other dogs, and loves to play, therefore a family with another active and playful dog would be a big plus! He also loves to go out on walks. He is very loving to people and likes to hang out with his human. He also likes kids, but we recommend kids 8+ yrs old as Toto is playful.
