He was found abandoned in the desert and has spent the last three months learning how to feel safe again. Charlie is extremely fearful of people—especially men. He is not aggressive at all. When he’s scared, he freezes or hides. What he needs most is patience, gentleness, and time. His safe place is the sofa, where he’ll accept soft pets and show his sweet, hopeful side. Underneath his fear is a loving, loyal little dog who just needs the right environment to blossom. Charlie must go to a calm, older female owner. • No men • No children • Quiet home • Another friendly dog is required He thrives with other dogs and gains confidence from them.
