Meet handsome Toto. He is approximately 4 yrs old and 18 lbs. Toto was found on the streets with no ID tag and his owners couldn't be located. He was taken to the vet for check up, vaccinations, deworming, neutering and teeth cleaning. Since his rescue Toto has been living with a foster family. He is housetrained and behaves very well, not destructive. He is very friendly with other dogs, and loves to play, therefore a family with another active and playful dog would be a big plus! He also loves to go out on walks and to play fetch with his favorite ball. He needs activity, therefore an equally active family would be a good match for him. He is very loving to people and likes to hang out with his human. He also likes kids, but we recommend kids 8+ yrs old as Toto is playful. He was found abandoned in the desert and has spent the last three months learning how to feel safe again. Charlie is extremely fearful of people—especially men. He is not aggressive at all. When he’s scared, he freezes or hides. What he needs most is patience, gentleness, and time. His safe place is the sofa, where he’ll accept soft pets and show his sweet, hopeful side. Underneath his fear is a loving, loyal little dog who just needs the right environment to blossom. Alonzo is a very sweet, well mannered, upstanding senior citizen. He is perfectly house trained and walks like an angel on a leash. He is seeing impaired but he doesn’t let that stop him from enjoying life. He is non reactive with dogs and has zero issues with other dogs even when he has a high value treat like a bully stick. He gets along well with his foster brother. I would guess he is also fine with cats, though the opportunity hasn’t presented itself. He enjoys cuddling on the couch and sleeps at the foot of the bed. He does not care for crates but enjoys his dog bed. At the moment, he is experiences some separation anxiety, which presents as barking and pacing. Jaymes is a 4/5-year-old Poodle/Shih Tzu mix weighing about 11 pounds with a heart as big as his smile. He was cruelly dumped in the middle of nowhere, but thanks to rescue, he’s now safe, fully vetted, and ready to find the loving forever home he deserves. When Jaymes was found, he was found to have an underdeveloped eye with no vision. The vet thought it best to clean the area up and sew the opening. He looks adorable and is doing great! Jaymes is very sweet and friendly, loves people, and does great with other dogs. He’s the kind of little guy who fits easily into family life—happy to cuddle, happy to play, and happy just to be loved. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines. Agatha entered Orange County Animal Care as a stray, and while there, she was spayed and had a dental to get her ready for a fresh start. We welcomed Agatha as a Frosted Face on February 5th. She is about 12 years old, weighs 11 lbs. and is very sweet. Agatha went on a Frosted Field Trip, so we could learn more about her while she received lots of TLC in the comfort of a home. Her foster mom reports: "Agatha is a snuggle bug! She loves being held and cuddled with. When she feels your touch, her tail will wag, or she’ll try to dig her face in your hand. She is the sweetest when people give her love and attention. Agatha loves people and lets anyone pick her up even when she’s sleeping. She sleeps on any piece of clothing or bag. I had a sweater on the floor and she fell asleep right on top of it. Vision and hearing impaired, Agatha relies heavily on her nose! She loves sniffing around and knows when there is food nearby. She is a great eater and finishes her food every time. Agatha would do best with dogs that are friendly with others and don't mind being bumped into. Since she is vision impaired, she is unaware that she is getting close to another dog’s space. Agatha sleeps a lot, but she’ll have moments where she really wants to explore! She loves wandering around the house. When I take her outside, a lot of the times she’s just sniffing around, and she loves it. On our morning walks, she loved being held and even fell asleep. (She would likely also enjoy riding in a stroller or sling.) Our typical day was me working on my laptop on the couch and Agatha cuddled right next to me. She’s the perfect companion to have by your side, especially when you're feeling lazy." Agatha has so much sweetness packed into her tiny frame and is just waiting to share it with someone special.
