Elsa is a 2 year old, 7 lb, white Shih Tzu-terrier mix. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccines and monthly preventatives. As the least socialized, Elsa's anxiety and timid nature made it hard for her to trust that humans wanted to care for her. After a lot of love, patience, and hard work from our fosters - Elsa is now medicated and thriving! She no longer hides behind her foster siblings and started actively play and engage with them. It is truly a joy to see! Like many dogs with her background, Elsa prefers to be a pack dog. She's been doing well with house and potty training. She will follow the other dogs and go potty outside in the yard. Elsa is continuing to come out of her shell. Her ideal home has patient and loving adopters with a pack of two or more similarly sized dogs, some of whom around her age. She requires a home with at least two dogs who like play. Elsa must have a securely fenced yard, she needs a tall fence that she can't slip out of or climb over. She needs an adult only home. She does fine with cats, she mostly ignored her prior foster kitty sibling.

She came to us with a scar from an old eye injury, and may have some vision loss, but this does not impede her in any way. Sugar was heartworm positive and has been treated in rescue. She is potty pad trained, and will also walk on a leash. Sugar gets long well with other dogs and children. Sugar has small nasal openings so she snorts and snores, which can be quite adorable. A few playdates with Darcy is a must to find his forever home! Darcy is 9 1/2. He's a sweet loving, loyal, pup! Always glued to my hip day & night! Hes a lap pup all he wants is pets and cuddles! He will let me hold him all night especially if it's raining. Darcy loves walks , chewing on bones & exploring our back yard. With his senior years approaching his anxiety has intensified around my hyper 8yr son has & has begun to get nippy. Only with my son's friends or anyone who unexpectedly comes on our property or in our house! His breed was to protect the Tibetan Monks he's a protector & just doing his Job! On walks he has to be kept tight on a leash and away from other dogs. He's so cute people just want to pet him & he will nip at them bc he's protecting you. We have 2 3yr old West Highland Terrier siblings with very high energy always trying to get Darcy to play & he's not having it! Darcy needs a calm home with no children or dogs. He would be perfect for a Senior who lives alone!
