Story
Hi! I’m Bandit, a 1½yearold, 15pound ShihTzu/Bichon mix (one of those adorable Teddy Bear dogs) and my name means “the one who steals,” which is perfect because I fully intend to steal your heart the moment we meet. I’m a curious, playful little guy who loves adventures, zoomies, and curling up for snuggles. Treats motivate me, affection melts me, and being close to my person is my favorite thing. If you want a cheerful companion who brings joy wherever he goes, I’m your boy.
Favorite Things : Bandit is a joyful spirit who believes life is better with toys—plural, always. He delights in carrying them, tossing them, and proudly parading them around the house. His curiosity and lively nature shine brightest when he’s surrounded by his favorite treasures, and he’ll happily entertain himself or invite you into the fun.
Training and Manners: Bandit has a lovely foundation of manners and settles easily into a home’s rhythm. He walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys every car ride like it’s a grand adventure, and sleeps soundly in a secure area at night. He’s foodmotivated, attentive, and quick to learn, making training both enjoyable and rewarding. He waits patiently for his outings and loves joining his people on errands, especially trips to Home Depot where he can charm new admirers.
Health and Care: Bandit is a healthy boy! He is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and neutered. Like any dog, he’ll need monthly heartworm and flea prevention. To keep Bandit looking his best will need regular brushing plus professional grooming every few weeks.
Other Animals: Bandit has experience with playful dogs and enjoys their company, though he may announce himself with a bark before deciding they’re friends. He hasn’t been around cats, and he doesn’t appear to be a good fit for living with them.
Children: Bandit will do well with older children (8+) who can appreciate his spirited personality and join in his playful energy. He warms up quickly to new people and enjoys being part of the action, especially when gentle hands and kind voices are involved.
Ideal Home: Bandit thrives in a singlefamily home with a secure, fenced yard where he can safely run and explore to his heart’s content. Indoors, he’s a devoted little shadow who loves staying close, but once outside, his adventurous side shines as he dashes after squirrels—real or imaginary—and soaks up the fresh air. An active household that can offer attention, playtime, and plenty of love will make him the happiest boy. A family that enjoys activity, structure, and affection will be the perfect match for this joyful explorer.
Overall: As his name suggests, Bandit has a way of sneaking into your life in the most endearing way. He’s friendly, quick to bond, and full of warmth. He may bark at other dogs at first, but it’s all bluster—just his version of hello. He loves toys, loves learning, and loves being part of a family. At night, he turns into the gentlest cuddle buddy, settling in beside you while you unwind. Bandit is ready for a home that appreciates his bright energy, loving personality, and charming “escapeartistintraining” tendencies. With the right family, he’ll shine as the loyal, happy little sidekick he was meant to be.
