**MINDY IS AN ADORABLE LITTLE GIRL, BUT NEEDS A SPECIAL COMMITTED ADOPTER AS SHE WILL LIVE A FULL LIFE WITH THE PROPER REQUIRED PRESCRIPTION DIET AND DIAGNOSTIC CARE.
Hi, I’m Mindy, a 5 yearold Shih Tzu weighing 8.5 pounds, and I like to think of myself as a tiny bundle of personality wrapped in a fluffy brownandwhite coat. I’m affectionate, curious, and always eager to be part of whatever my people are doing. I enjoy exploring my home, sharing my thoughts in my own expressive way, and I’m working on my house training with regular trips outside.
Favorite Things: Mindy’s happiest moments revolve around her stuffed toys. She gathers them around herself like cherished little treasures and loves playing fetch with her favorites. Her joy comes from soft play, familiar comforts, and the cozy world she builds around herself.
Training and Manners: Mindy responds well to calm guidance and has a thoughtful way of learning new things. She’s still gaining confidence on the leash and benefits from patient practice. She sleeps soundly in her dog bed at night, enjoys car rides, and settles peacefully when left alone for several hours. Her manners are steady and sweet, making her a pleasant companion for a relaxed household.
Health and Care: Mindy is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She’ll need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. Mindy is not on daily medication however, she must remain on prescription Urinary S/O food for life, along with periodic radiographs to ensure she stays healthy. Her beautiful coat requires professional grooming every 5-6 weeks and she enjoys brushing between visits. With consistent care, she can thrive for many years.
Other Animals: Mindy has experience with small dogs and does well with calm or playful companions who respect her space. She does prefer to eat in a secure area to keep her food separate from other dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats, though her adaptable nature suggests she could adjust with slow introductions.
Children: Mindy is best suited for homes with teens and older. Because her diet must remain strictly controlled, she cannot risk taking food from young children or having them offer her something outside her prescribed plan. Teens who understand her needs will find her affectionate and fun.
Ideal Home: Mindy needs a singlefamily home without shared walls, as she announces the end of her meals with a signature “screech” that is charming but loud. She enjoys companionship and thrives with someone home more often, though she can handle alone time when needed. A committed adopter who embraces her care plan will be rewarded with a devoted and vibrant little sidekick.
Overall: Mindy is a bright, expressive little girl who brings warmth and personality to every day. With her toy collection, her spirited nature, and her affectionate heart, she’s a tiny character who makes life feel more joyful. She may be small, but she has a way of making herself unforgettable and she’s ready to become the center of someone’s world in the sweetest possible way.
