I found myself at a local shelter, but Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue scooped me up, got me fixed up, and now I’m ready for my forever home! I’m a super sweet guy who gets along great with both dogs and cats—the more the merrier! I’m housebroken, did great in a crate, and I love going for walks. Honestly, I’d prefer to be outside enjoying the fresh air as much as possible because there’s just something magical about being outdoors! At night, I sleep on my dog bed right beside my human because being close to you is where I feel most at home. I can be cuddly sometimes, and I’m gentle and easygoing. I have no teeth, so treats really aren’t my thing. But don’t worry—I’m a great eater and I love my wet food watered down into a nice, easy-to-eat meal! I’m probably good with older, dog-savvy kids who understand how to be gentle with a sweet senior like me. Hellloooo WORLD! My name is Lloyd and I’m a 2-year-old, 12lb Shih Tzu from the Magnificent 7 pack! They say I’m two, but I really feel like I’m still a puppy and I have the energy to prove it! I have a big personality and consider myself the leader of my crew! Always first on walks and always ready to let you know exactly how I feel about things (I have OPINIONS, you know!) I’m cute as a button and I KNOW IT! Morning routine? I wait patiently in my crate (which I love)… until I see you, then it’s PARTY TIME! Woo, I get so excited to see my human and get out that I give like a thousand kisses while she tries to get my leash on - I admit it’s a bit of whirlwind to get out the door. I’m working on my house manners and doing great…I do best on a consistent schedule. I LOVE car rides, and walks are my JAM! I am learning to walk nicely on a leash but need continued training. I’m great with all dogs…sometimes I get a little pushy though until the senior dogs in the pack remind me of the pecking order. Everyone say hi to Arfie, a 6 year old 28 lb shih tzu boy. Yes you read that right, Arfie weighs 28 lbs and is in need of a home that will take him on walks and give him the opportunity to shed some much needed pounds---with that said this little boy is an " absolute gentleman" according to his foster mom. Arfie came to us after his elderly owner was unable to care for him longer due to her own personal issues----Arfie has come a long way from intake when he was all of 39lbs!!! He just wants to please everyone, has excellent house manners and deserves a chance at a great life in a loving home. He gets along with EVERYONE and is a soft and kind hearted soul....he has yet to meet a person he doesn't wag his little tail at and asks to say hello to. Arfie has a history of seizures and is on medication where it controlled now that he has been seen and treated for it by our veterinary team. He also is allergic to chicken and chicken by-products but is doing great on a diet of salmon and sweet potato kibble which is sold over the counter. These two sweet girls have been through so much. They first lost their mom, and now their dad can no longer care for them. They came from a loving family where they were cherished and well cared for, and they truly deserve to find that love again. Maggie (7-year-old Pomeranian- 12.34LBS) & Iris (12-year-old Shitzu- 10.5LBS) are a sweet senior pair looking for a calm, loving home to call their own. Maggie is the more outgoing of the two friendly, curious, and full of personality! She loves other small dogs and enjoys playing and exploring. Both girls would thrive in a home rather than a condo, where they have more space to play and relax. Ideally, their new parents would be retired or home often, so they can enjoy plenty of love, companionship, and attention every day. Iris is the quieter, more reserved one. She takes her time to warm up and prefers cozy spots like her dog bed or under the furniture where she feels safe. Once she trusts you, she enjoys gentle company and a peaceful routine. Both girls are friendly with other dogs and recently had dental cleanings — they’re healthy and ready for their next chapter!
