Poncho's owner passed away and the family and the remaining family was not able to take care of him. He will do best in a quiet environment with experienced owner who understand he needs time to warm up and adjust. He is okay with other dogs but will be fine as the only animal. He seems to prefer ladies and be very snuggly once he warms up. He is a healthy quiet little guy who just wants a loving home in which he can live out the rest of his life.

Copito is a 3-year-old Shih Tzu with a strong, expressive personality. He is loving and loyal, and does best in a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods. When alone too long, he can become anxious (crying/scratching doors). He is very attached to his family and especially bonded to my wife. He follows you everywhere, makes eye contact, and likes sleeping close to us. He is house-trained and goes outside for walks every morning and evening. Like many small dogs, Copito can be territorial. He loves toys and will bring them to you; he may growl or nip if you try to take a toy away—more like intense play/guarding than true aggression. He has never bitten or shown aggression toward strangers. He loves wearing his walking vest, enjoys toys, and thrives as an emotional companion. Best match: a calm adult or couple who can offer time, affection, and stability. He responds to basic commands in Spanish and English (mostly Spanish at home).

Bubbles was born 5/14/25. She is outgoing and friendly. She LOVES everyone. She weighs 6 lbs. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. We are working on housetraining and leash walking. She is a very sweet and playful cuddle buddy. Adoption fee is 950.00. Located in the south. She was surrendered to rescue because she became too old to be sold in a store. There are no known health issues Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested.
