You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Do Not Apply for a pet with PENDING in the name bar.  They have been matched with a home, but not adopted yet. Skipper was born Sept 2023. Adorable and friendly! he should be under 15 lbs as an adult. he loves everyone including dogs and children! Surrendered with sibling. They became too old to sell to a store. They were surrendered to rescue for that reason. Needs work on housetraining. They are currently in boarding in the midwest. Transport is available to the NE or south. Adoption fee is 950.00 and includes transport.    Thank you for choosing rescue! We are volunteers with other commitments in addition to rescue. Our time is very limited. Therefore, we request a  $20.00  donation through paypal in order to process and expedite your application. This shows that you are truly interested in adoption. Your application will remain on file for a year. Applications are available at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com under forms/application. Donation should be made through Paypal at www.eastcoasthumanesociety.com. We are only available by phone after you have an approved application. All pets are located in the southeast. Transport is available to the NE for an additional $300.00 transport fee. We do not adopt in MA, RI due to import laws. Residents MUST pick up in CT. All dogs over 8 months will be spayed or neutered and heartworm tested. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated,microchipped, dewormed and treated for other parasites. Please read the FAQ on our website for additional information. Adoption fees are cash or money order only. Everyone say hi to Arfie, a 5 year old 32 lb shih tzu boy. Yes you read that right, Arfie weighs 32 lbs and is in need of a home that will take him on walks and give him the opportunity to shed some much need pounds---with that said this little boy is an " absolute gentleman" according to his foster mom. Arfie came to us after his elderly owner was unable to care for him longer due to her own personal issues----Arfie has come a long way from intake a few months ago when he was all of 39lbs!!! He just wants to please everyone, has excellent house manners and deserves a chance at a great life in a loving home. He gets along with EVERYONE and has yet to meet a person he doesn't wag his little tail at. Arfie apparently had a history of seizures when he was with his previous owner but since we have had him (and put him on medication) he has not had a single one. Top of the day kind folks! My name is Tabitha and I am a 2 year old 11 lb white shih tzu girl in search of my forever home. I was rescued by FCCR with several of my friends (also available for adoption) and now we are in the best of hands! Foster mom says I am a sweet and beautiful girl- quiet, demure, and most of all loyal. I am still coming out of my shell and can be somewhat shy at first but that's because everything is still so new to me - I just need to feel at home and then my full loving personality will shine thru for everyone to see!!! I am also working on my housetraining and leash skills, and with my human by my side to encourage and love me, those too I will master---I am a smart girl!
