He absolutely loves playing with other dogs. He might run from you when first adopted until he gets comfortable. He is a precious boy and deserves a chance for a better life. Will need work on housetraining, leash training as well as socialization. He is great with other small dogs, cats unknown & kids that are a little older & understand how to be around a skittish dog & to allow for the dog to come to them & not chase (not counting when they are in play mode). Looking for a family who can show him love and give him the plenty of time to learn how life is supposed to be. He's super sweet and trying hard to trust. He will literally stiffen & freeze as he's so scared when handled but if he's with other dogs, he will follow them into the kitchen to see what you're delving out & to be sure to get his bite (he's been in the foster home for almost 2 weeks when he started showing this behavior). Great with other dogs, cats unknown and older children 12+ only because she is skittish. He is not housetrained (although when you open the slider & walk out, he will come behind you & go do his business as long as you don't turn towards him or call his name), has not walked on a leash yet or comfortable being handled but he needs to be cuddled (which means you need to know how to calmly corner a pup & slowly bend down to pick them up). This precious little boy needs to know he matters. Other socialized dog/s in a home would be perfect for him to watch and learn as he absolutely loves to play with them when he gets more comfortable in the home (& thinks you're not watching). With time and patience, he'll be your best buddy. Looking for a family who can show him love and give him plenty of time to learn how life is supposed to be. He's super sweet and trying hard to trust. He no longer cowers or freezes. He comes when you call him to go out, eats very well and snuggles on the couch with his foster parents. Fine with other dogs, although if they are excitable, he will steer clear. Doesn't pay much attention to cats. Preferably older children 12+, only because he is still learning to trust fully. He is nearly housetrained. He goes out to do his business along with the other dogs (he will stay behind you & follow you out - one of the reasons why a fenced yard is required) but is also potty pad trained. So, if he needs to go and you don't notice, he will go on the pads as a backup. He has not walked on a leash yet, nor is he entirely comfortable being handled but, he does let you pick him up and likes a belly rub! This precious little boy needs to know he's home!! (It's taken about a month & he JUST came up to me yesterday to be pet when the others were around). Great with other dogs, cats unknown and older children 12+ only because she is skittish.
