Your royal highness, Prince, has been awaiting your arrival! Just like any royalty, he just wants someone who will be at his beck and call all day. He is a chill dude who just wants to lounge in his throne or on your lap. He is a lazy prince! He won't do much playing and won't need too much exercise to be content. He wasn't too fond of the children in his previous castle, and would prefer to live with adults or older kids. He lived with a large dog (and cats) but we still recommend a meet with resident dogs before heading to his new home. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Wiggles was purchased from a breeder three years ago. He has lived in two households with small children. He is not a fan of cats, or kids and nipped when put in uncomfortable situations. So it’s best that the adopter has no small children under twelve years old, that also applies to grandchildren. He loves baths, so a spa day is right up his alley. Generally Wiggles has a sweet nature and loves cuddling. He is accustomed to sleeping with his humans. Wiggles was recently neutered and his hormones have not dissipated. It may take a few months for the urge to mark his territory to disappear; meanwhile he does excellent wearing a belly band without incident. Patience, love, dedication is imperative in the acclamation process with Wiggles. He is well worth the time invested and will make an excellent companion for years to come. ##2665933##

I'm 1 old (DOB 11/13/2024) and I weigh 14.6 lbs. I'm white and black in color. I'm neutered, Rabies shot, all sets of puppy shots, 4DX tested and negative, and had Proheart shot that is good for 6 months preventing heartworm disease. I've been to the vet on 09/10/2025, microchipped and ready to get on with my life in a forever home of my own. I'm housetrained and I'm crate trained. I am good with other dogs, big and small, and children, non reactive with cats. I'm very friendly and sweet. I'm a very loving boy. I will stick to you like velcro. I just need a loving family to complete my forever home. I was given up because my owner could not afford the surgery I needed. My front legs were deformed and one had to be amputated and the other one had 2 toes removed. When I run, you cannot tell I have only have 3 legs. I'm all healed up now and would make a great family dog!
