Meet Rose! She’s a shy, gentle Shih Tzu who’s just looking for a calm, loving home and a cozy lap to call her own. Rose is about 5 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She’s sweet-natured, soft-hearted, and does well with other dogs. Loud environments and little kids may be a bit overwhelming for this quiet soul, so she’d do best in a patient home that will let her blossom at her own pace. Meet Aerie! This adorable little Shih Tzu may look sweet, but she definitely has a spicy side! Aerie loves attention and being held—but strictly on her own terms. She’ll need a patient, experienced adopter who can respect her boundaries and help her feel safe while she learns to trust more. She does well with other dogs, but we’re recommending a home without kids due to her sass and attitude. Aerie is about 2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She may be a little diva, but in the right home she’s going to be someone’s very special girl.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Banjo – A Spirited Soul with a Story to Tell DOB: ~August 23, 2022 | Weight: 21.6 lbs | Adoption Fee: $400 Apply at: www.adoggie4you.org Look at that happy face—Banjo is a character through and through! This little guy is full of charm, always up for some time in the play yard, and never says no to attention from his favorite volunteers. He’s friendly, social, and has a big personality packed into a compact body. Banjo’s story hasn’t been an easy one. After being found on the streets and fully vetted by our team, we searched for his owners for months. Just as he was about to be adopted, his previous owners came forward. Sadly, a year later, Banjo was found on the streets again, and we were called to take him back into our care. His former owners, currently without stable housing, agreed it was best that Banjo find a safe, secure forever home. Due to past food insecurity, Banjo can be food-aggressive with other dogs. He’s shown no aggression toward people and does well with small dogs, but may be a bit pushy with larger ones. With a bit of patience and structure, Banjo has all the potential to thrive. He would love to be an only dog to one person.  Banjo is now safe, healthy, and ready for a brighter future. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who’s ready to be truly home for good, Banjo could be your perfect match. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 17, 2025, 3:05 pm

Story
Meet Wyatt — A Tiny Pup with a Big Heart Wyatt is a 3-year-old Papillon/Chihuahua mix with a super-petite frame and an incredibly sweet, gentle personality. He’s the perfect little companion for someone who wants a loyal friend by their side. Since had his photos shoot, he had to have his leg amputated due to an injury, but being a tripod doesn't slow him down one bit! Wyatt is being fostered with 8 other dogs, 1 big and 7 small. He did wonderfully with a five-year-old and showed how gentle and patient he can be, so he can happily live with a calm family or a single person looking for a devoted companion. On leash, Wyatt is very easy to handle — his tiny size makes walks simple and enjoyable. He’s still adjusting to new environments, so he hasn’t quite shown interest in toys yet, but with time and comfort, he may open up even more. Wyatt can also live with cats and is actually smaller than most kitties he meets! He’s a gentle little soul who simply wants to be loved. If you’re looking for a sweet, soft-hearted companion to share your days, Wyatt is ready to be your new best friend. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Meet JERRY, a very happy guy who simply gets along with everyone, humans and dogs, big and small.  JERRY is a Papillon mix with a very soft coat to go along with his soft soul.  He is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. This guy was left behind at an apartment complex when his owners moved out and I cannot make any sense of why they did not take him because I have not had any trouble out of him.  He is quiet, crate and potty trained and walks well on a leash.  There is no aggression in him anywhere, he shares his food bowl and his toys with the other dogs. He lives to cuddle with you and at 10 pounds he is easy to pick up and he will not grow any bigger.  You can take him everywhere and expect a well-mannered gentleman at all times. If you are interested in adopting JERRY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you for your interest. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         May 4, 2025, 1:32 pm
