Story
MEET LILO! Want a lifetime of walkies? So does Lilo! He is always up for a long stroll around the block with his favorite people! It can take a little while to become one of Lilo`s best buds, he can be very fearful when meeting strangers and is a little selective about who he hangs out with. Fortunately, once he warms up, he`s all yours! Lilo likes taking his walks in any environment but somewhere with lower traffic would be best. He`d also prefer a completely child free home with not as many visitors as his new family will have to make sure to give him a slow introduction anytime he meets new people. This boy is truly lovely and if you think your home is right for him, feel free to inquire about him at our Boston location.** PLEASE NOTE - Lilo requires multiple meets before going hom. Lilo is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped, and seen by our vet team. For more information on Lilo or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Story
Romeo and Juliet were both street dogs, traveling everywhere together, looking for food and love. They were finally picked up by animal control in Georgia where they remained on a stray hold until they could be released. Animal control soon realized that Juliet was pregnant by Romeo so they called us to see if we could get them out of there before she gave birth. We had them immediately transported here to Tennessee and two weeks later she gave birth to 7 puppies. Sadly one was stillborn but the remaining 6 are all healthy happy babies who have all been adopted. Now it's Romeo's turn. He is crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and heart worm negative. Romeo is extremely lovable. He is excellent with my 3 year old granddaughter and as you can see in the photo, fine with cats. Wouldn't you love to give him a loving and forever home! PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION ADOPTION FEE $700

Adoption Donation   $499              Located:   MS      (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx   6   years old     Weight:   lbs    If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  friendsoha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.     Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Adoption Donation   $   550         Located: RI         (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details )    Age: approx 2 1/2 years old     Weight:   20 lbs Meet Zeus, a delightful 2.5-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a heart as big as his playful spirit! This handsome 20-pound pup is seeking the perfect adopter to share his love for outdoor adventures and playtime.   Zeus is a non-shedding bundle of joy who is 99% house trained and walks well on a leash. His entertaining personality shines through as he revels in being outside, engaging in exercise, and indulging in play with stuffed animal toys larger than himself. A true companion for an active adopter, Zeus is always ready for an exciting walk or a game of fetch.   Fully vetted and in the prime of his life, Zeus brings boundless joy to any calm and kid-free household. While he's not a big barker, his alert nature comes to life when he senses something worth barking at.   Zeus keeps busy and loves his life. He does have a quirk – you see, Zeus had a very traumatic experience with grooming and doesn't tolerate some forms of touch. With patience, lots of treats and positive reinforcement we're confident that he'll make progress. He's looking for an adult only home with an experienced adopter who understands the need to go slow with grooming and handling. He's available for adoption at https://fohari.org/available-pets/...   A fenced yard is not a must for Zeus, but he does thrive with an adopter who is not gone for endless hours at a time and who also enjoys frequent walks and letting Zeus get plenty of outside time. With his lovable nature and charming demeanor, Zeus is the perfect happy boy for the right adopter who can provide him with the love, care, and positive grooming experiences he deserves.   If you're ready to welcome Zeus into your heart and home, get ready for a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments with this wonderful companion!    If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  lisa.foha@yahoo.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.     Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in.
