Little Mars is around 4 lbs and is part of the candy bar litter that was born on Dec. 29th 2023. He is a spunky little guy who loves everyone and is good with children, other dogs of all sizes and cats. We are working on his house training and he is doing pretty well. He and his siblings were surrendered to me after their mom had an accidental litter and the owner got sick and could no longer care for him. He has been fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Bailey Bob is a 13 lb. young shitzu who was rescued from a high risk shelter in south Texas. He's approximately 2-3 years old. We don't know what happened to Bailey Bob before he came to CAMO, but he has suffered a neurological injury that has caused him to lose his vision and sometimes walk in circles. Despite everything, Bailey Bob is a pretty happy pup! Bailey Bob is 90% potty trained and LOVES playing in his backyard. He likes other good tempered-dogs and is cat friendly as well. Due to Bailey's vision loss, he can be reactive and often growls when he is nervous. Once he knows you, he does warm up and snuggle but he often gets disoriented. He has warmed up tremendously to his foster mom but still is very wary of his foster dad. Due to Bailey's condition, he will need a house with NO children and NO pool. He also will need a knowledge, patient owner who is willing to let Bailey Bob decompress and get accustomed to their house which may take a few days. A secure fenced yard is an absolute must! Bailey Bob's adoption fee is WAIVED TO THE RIGHT HOME. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Astra is a sweet and loving Shih Tzu that was rescued from the Palm Valley Animal Shelter because of a fractured spine. She was on a tight deadline when we rescued her from euthanasia. Astra is about 4 years old and weighs 14 pounds. She is a special needs pup and her adoption fee is waived to the right home. She will need to be 'expressed' to help her go potty. Astra is sweet, friendly, is able to get around by dragging her upper body and loves to play with her toys and other small dogs. Due to her injury no big dogs or kids under 14 please. Rosie Cherry is a sweet little lady that is about 16years old. She is a Shih-Tzu mix and has some health needs, but it doesn't slow her down! She is a fast learner and loves to be wherever her human is. She is mostly housebroken but will have an occasional accident if not taken out regularly. She loves dinnertime and taking her meds. She can be playful with encouragement but really enjoys sitting back and listening. Rosie has diabetes and mature cataracts (blind), congestive heart failure, a 5/6 heart murmur, and a mammary tumor (could not be sedated for removal due to heart murmur), but she is responding well to her medication/special diet and will need to continue them. Rosie gets along with other dogs and has been around a cat. Rosie Cherry adoption fee is $100. ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. My foster mom has other small dogs and I prefer to be with just a female of my size or by myself. Especially since I don't like to share my food or have another dog near me when I eat. I'm looking for a laid back home. My ideal home would be one without kids as they are a bit too much for me to deal with. Cats make me a little too excited as well, so a home without those would be best. I'm always excited to get attention and love by the humans caring for me! As an older gentleman I bring a more calm and relaxed energy to a home, but I still love to have time to play by running around chasing toys! I'm crate and harness trained. I like to decorate my crate with lots of toys! My foster mom says I'm a toy hoarder! Are you looking for a family member who will bring a smile to your face and warm your heart? If so, you should definitely consider Kioki. Though Kioki is a 15-year-old shih tzu mix and came into the rescue with a collapsing trachea and airway disease, after finding the right veterinary care, she has made a remarkable transformation. Her foster mom has gone from worrying that CAMO could not save her to marveling as she runs around the backyard. She went from coughing for hours on end to coughing a couple times a day perhaps for a minute. In spite of many sleepless nights early on, her foster mom absolutely adores her. The way she looks at people just melts one's heart. Kioki was adopted from a local shelter at 4 years old and returned to the same shelter to be euthanized. Luckily, the shelter staff wanted to give her a chance if they could find a rescue to take her in. CAMO stepped up. Kioki has been fully vetted, spayed and is heartworm negative. She weighs in at approximately 10 pounds. She is house trained and sleeps in her crate with the door open through the night. She does have a cataract but has vision in her other eye and gets around with no problem. She is on two eye drops twice a day which she tolerates. Her foster mom puts two medications in her meals but at the rate Kioki is going, it may be down to one soon. She gets along with other dogs though she would be good as an only dog.
