Story
Hello my name is Sophie and I'm estimated to be around 12 years old. I was rescued by CAMO in horrible condition with multiple mammary tumors, that have all been removed. During my time of being homeless I was starving and ingested what to be a shoe sole and had to have emergency surgery to have it removed. I've been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure but that doesn't slow me down as long as I receive my Sub Q Fluids and medications, I do eat RX kidney food. I have an arched back that does give me discomfort that I'm taking medication for. My right eye doesn't produce any tears which is considered "Dry Eye". I have ulcers in my mouth which are caused by kidney failure. I love riding in the car and looking at everything. The next thing is the doggy stroller - Nothing better than taking a stroll and enjoying the outdoor weather. My medication list is a little long but I am very good about taking and it's become a routine. Sub Q Fluids 100.ml - Once a Day Thyro Tabs 0.1 mg - Twice A Day Enalapril 25mg - Once A Day Ozodyl - Twice A Day Methocarbamol 100mg 0.5ml - Twice A Day Sucralfate Dissolve tablet amd give by syringe - Twice A Day Optimmune 0.2% Twice A Day Epakitin - Twice A Day Nordic Naturals Omega 3 - Once A Day Vettoquinol Renal K - 1/2 Teaspoon Twice A Day Adoption fee is: $250.00 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. Story
Mozzie is a 1½-year-old, 14-pound Shih Tzu-Terrier mix with a gentle heart and a shy but curious spirit. He came to Camo Rescue as an owner surrender alongside his sister, Luna Nicole—and these two are a bonded pair who will need to be adopted together. Mozzie is the slightly more outgoing of the two, though he’s still pretty skittish around new people and environments. He may be fearful at first, but with time, patience, and a calm approach, Mozzie begins to open up and show his sweet, loving personality. Having his sister by his side gives his comfort and courage as he learns to trust. Mozzie is doing wonderfully with his potty training and is well on his way to mastering it! Leash walking is still a work in progress, as he hasn’t had much exposure to it, but with gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, he' sure to improve. He and Luna get along well with other dogs and would especially benefit from a calm, confident canine companion to help boost their confidence. Mozzie and Luna would thrive in a peaceful, understanding home—ideally with adults or older children who are patient and willing to give them the time and space they need to feel safe. With love and support, these two special dogs have so much potential to shine. Adoption fee is: $375 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Story
Meet Bengi, an 11-pound, 9-year-old Shih Tzu mix with a curious mind and a heart full of love! Bengi came to us as a stray, but he’s quickly shown us just how sweet and people-loving he truly is. This little guy is great with other dogs and does well with respectful kids who understand how to interact gently with smaller dogs. He thrives on attention and absolutely adores being petted and loved on. Bengi is also quite the chatterbox and isn’t shy about letting you know when something catches his interest! He can be a bit wary of strangers at first, so slow introductions are best to help him feel comfortable and build trust. His curious nature means he’s always exploring and observing the world around him. Whether he’s sniffing around the yard or checking out a new corner of the house, Bengi loves a good adventure and enjoys being part of the action. He’s currently working on his potty and leash training and will do best with a consistent, patient adopter to help guide him along the way. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big personality and lots of love to give, Bengi is your guy! Adoption fee is: $300 ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. April Joy is a 5-year-old, 14-pound Shih Tzu mix with a gentle heart and a sweet spirit that’s impossible to resist. Since arriving, April Joy has been an absolute angel. She’s a little shy at first and can be fearful in new situations, but her loving nature always shines through. With patience and kindness, she quickly begins to open up and show her true, affectionate self. April gets along well with other dogs her size and enjoys having canine company.
