Story
Opie is still waiting for his person. Adoption fee: $75 Adoption Application: copy & paste https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Born last June, Opie came to us when he was about 3 months old after being placed in a foster home with his brothers. The foster originally planned to keep all three kittens, but plans changed, and eventually his two brothers were adopted while sweet Opie was left behind still searching for a family of his own. When Opie first arrived, he was extremely skittish and unsure of people. Since then, he has come a long way and is learning that humans can be safe and kind. He’s still shy and not ready for pets yet, but he’s making progress every day and just needs someone patient who will give him the time and space to continue building trust. Opie is absolutely beautiful and gets along well with other cats. We believe he would do best in a calm home with someone who understands that some animals just need extra patience and love to truly blossom. Because transport would be stressful for him, we are hoping to find a local Alabama adopter. His adoption fee is very low because what matters most to us is simply finding him a loving, stable forever home. If you believe the best relationships are built with patience and kindness, Opie may be the kitty for you. We do offer a discount when adopting more than one pet. All pets are microchipped, and the registration fee paid for lifetime. Please copy and paste the following URL for the adoption application: https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you. The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter. PDAR.info@gmail.com COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21.

Story
Some bonds are just too beautiful to break! Meet Jasmine and Beau, a bonded mother and son. These are Friends of Rescue alumnus who, at no fault of their own, are in need of a new forever home TOGETHER. Jasmine is a gorgeous 6-year-old Tortie Point Siamese with silky white fur and beautiful moon-shaped markings on her ears. At 11 pounds, she's as sweet as she is beautiful. She greets you at the door with cheerful little "hellos," loves being brushed (everywhere!), enjoys being held, and absolutely melts for chin scratches. Jasmine is also a true Rock Star Mama Cat. When another foster couldn't care for her kittens, Jasmine stepped in and lovingly raised three adopted babies alongside her own three. Caring for others is simply who she is. Her son, Beau, is a handsome 4-year-old with soft white fur and warm orange markings. He's a gentle, sensitive boy who takes a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he loves brushing, chin scratches, and quietly staying close to his favorite people. He'll always be his mama's boy—they even had their own special "coo" conversations that started when he was a kitten and continue even today. Together, they are the perfect pair. Jasmine is the social butterfly, while Beau is the quiet observer. They balance each other beautifully, and their bond is something truly special. Jasmine and Beau would do well with other cats, cat-friendly dogs, and respectful children. They are: 🐾 Spayed & neutered 💉 Vaccinated 📍 Microchipped If you're looking for two gentle, loving companions with an incredible bond, Jasmine and Beau are ready to fill your home with purrs, cuddles, and unconditional love. ❤️ Including some "baby" pics of Beau since we had the pleasure of watching him grow up in our rescue years ago! You can see the bond between them from the start!
