OK, get ready, because this is a sad story. Teresa came to St. Gertrude Rescue through a citizen who was concerned for her. She had been trying to catch Teresa for over 8 months, but Teresa always ran away. When she was finally caught, it was because she was extremely sick and malnourished. She came to SGR just skin and bones. While in rescue, her recovery has been very slow, she has constant diarrhea and has struggled to put on weight. Although she is feral, she is simply too weak to act on her feral instincts to run and hide from humans. She knows she needs us and we are here for her. While in the love and protection of SGR, Teresa enjoys watching her fish TV, eating good food, drinking clean water, and getting brushed daily. She is also getting the medical care she needs to hopefully return to full health soon. Teresa is about a year old and fully litter box trained. Here’s where things get interesting: Teresa is a Red Siamese, which in itself is unique. BUT, Teresa is also completely deaf! We can’t imagine how she survived in the wild, without being able to hear danger or a predator approaching. Because of this, we gave Teresa a box to snuggle in so she had all three sides of her protected at all times and she can see when others approach. This has made all the difference for her and we immediately saw improvement in her personality.

Belle is a sweet girl who does exemplify the term scaredy cat. She takes awhile to get used to changes and will hide most of the day, but enjoys being brushed and pet. She plays on her own, with other cats, and with you if the setting is right. She is one of the sweetest cats and will show you affection in her safest way possible. She likes being near you but enough space that she can get away whenever she pleases.

Meet Snow! Snow is a 4-month-old Flame Point Siamese mix with the sweetest personality to match her beautiful looks! This little snowball has a heart full of love and is looking for a forever family to share it with. Snow absolutely adores attention and will happily soak up all the cuddles you have to give. Whether shes curled up in your lap or following you around the house, she just wants to be close to her people. Shes playful, loves her treats, and enjoys spending time with other cats. Snow also does wonderfully with kids and has a gentle, loving personality that makes her a joy to be around. While she gets along well with other animals, she can be a little timid around dogs, especially if theyre loud or bark a lot. Because of this, shed do best with calm, respectful dogs or in a home without them. Snow enjoys both peaceful cuddle time and playful moments, making her the perfect mix of affectionate and fun. Shes litter box trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find the loving forever home she deserves. Preference will be given to adopters interested in adopting two kittens together or who already have a friendly, playful cat at home.

These are Friends of Rescue alumnus who, at no fault of their own, are in need of a new forever home TOGETHER. Jasmine is a gorgeous 6-year-old Tortie Point Siamese with silky white fur and beautiful moon-shaped markings on her ears. At 11 pounds, she's as sweet as she is beautiful. She greets you at the door with cheerful little "hellos," loves being brushed (everywhere!), enjoys being held, and absolutely melts for chin scratches. Jasmine is also a true Rock Star Mama Cat. When another foster couldn't care for her kittens, Jasmine stepped in and lovingly raised three adopted babies alongside her own three. Caring for others is simply who she is. Her son, Madhu, is a handsome 4-year-old with soft white fur and warm orange markings. He's a gentle, sensitive boy who takes a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he loves brushing, chin scratches, and quietly staying close to his favorite people. He'll always be his mama's boy—they even had their own special "coo" conversations that started when he was a kitten and continue even today. Together, they are the perfect pair. Jasmine is the social butterfly, while Madhu is the quiet observer. They balance each other beautifully, and their bond is something truly special. Jasmine and Madhu would do well with other cats, cat-friendly dogs, and respectful children.
