Story
This adoption is NOT through Furry Nation Salvation and is a Courtesy Post. Please call the individual listed below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you. Please call/text this number if interested: 321-536-2086 Cat located in this city: Melbourne, Florida Cat’s Name: Cotton Candy Cat’s Age & Sex: 2 years old, male Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, FIV/FELV neg Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): Cotton Candy was found by a very busy road in Cocoa. It was not safe for him to be released there after he was trapped. Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): Cotton Candy is very shy but is making progress. He is a stunning medium haired flame point Siamese. He likes to watch the birds and other wildlife out of the windows. He is a very calm cat. He will need a patient adopter who can continue to work with him to make him feel comfortable and loved! He has been around other cats and is fine with them. He hasn't been around dogs or kids. He would do better with older, calmer kids. :::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this). :::::::::::: More info here: FurryNationSalvation.Org/wetfood IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT: 1) Please show up with a cat carrier 2) Small adoption fee of: $25 3) I will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well 4) Please show up with your Driver's License. 5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine) *Please know, that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you. Story
Rusty originally came to us because he was dumped, in a carrier with a red Chistmas ball attached to it, at Pet Supermarket. He was discovered near closing time. He was adopted. A year later I got a frantic call from his adopted yelling that she spent $350 at a vet( that we did not recommend), she was done with him. I told her to meet me at my vet with him now. When I arrived, the entire staff was already upset with owner. Rusty was in a room and owner already signed paperwork to have him put down. He was given the 1st of 2 injections. Owner put him in my arms and left. Like left the building, left the parking lot. I looked into his eyes. I could not do this. I was in tears. He was not ready to leave. I called my rescue sisters for advise. Rusty had a urinary blockage. Owner had recently had him shaved. ( It was winter!!!) In some cats, intense, ongoing stress can cause physical issues. That was the case for Rusty. My rescue sisters and I were all in agreement, if our vet could reverse the 1st shot we'd do whatever it took to heal his body and heart. I never ran so fast to get one if the vet techs yo take Rusty in the back to the vet to begin healing him. He was in the hospital 3 days and reblocked. We took him back. I rang in the New Year with Rusty at Veterinary Emergency Center of East Volusia 2023. He has since been in a loving home but due to owner health issues he needs to find a new home. He is exceptionally loving and affectionate, has not had any health issues but is not fond of dogs. Story
Meet Calvin, a confident little man with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of curiosity. He’s always on the lookout for new and exciting things to explore, never missing an opportunity to check out every nook and cranny. One of Calvin’s favorite pastimes is playing with his foster brother, Charles—whether it’s tumbling or chasing each other, they’re always having a blast. Although he’s still learning what it means to be a house cat, Calvin is quickly discovering the joys of human companionship (aka nibbling toes), cozy naps, and the many comforts that come with a loving home. With his curious nature and playful personality, Calvin is ready to find a home where he can continue to grow and share his sweet spirit. We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care. All cats and kittens available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and given a rabies vaccine. Our adoption fees also cover lifetime microchip registration. To apply to adopt, please visit our website www.fcocinc.org and click "Adopt" under the cat you're interested in. ##2288212##

Story
Meet Charles, a shy and timid little soul who’s still learning to trust the world around him. Found in a junkyard with his brother, Calvin, he’s gradually discovering the joy of gentle pets, belly rubs, and soothing scratches. While he be a bit reserved, he feels confident in certain places- like high up on his cat castle in the sunbeam, where he likes dinner to be served to him. When little prince Charles feels safe, he melts like butter, purring softly as he soaks in the warmth and love. With time and patience Charles is on his way to becoming the perfect snuggle buddy. All he needs is someone to show him that love is meant for him too! We provide all initial wellness care, including vaccines, deworming, checking for mites etc., for each kitten and cat under our care.
