Professional napper , part-time window watcher , and full-time snack enthusiast , Thai can usually be found sunbathing in a warm patch of light  or supervising household activities from a high perch .   They’re equal parts sweet and sassy : one minute asking for chin scratches , the next sprinting through the hallway like they’ve got important cat business . Favorite hobbies include chasing mysterious dust motes , pretending to be starving five minutes after dinner , and curling up near their humans like a fuzzy little heater .   Loyal, curious, and quietly hilarious , Thai makes every day a bit cozier — and a lot more entertaining .   Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions.  To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt . This application does not commit you to an adoption. Wexler is still waiting… The day before Thanksgiving in 2023, Wexler came into our rescue from a terrible hoarding situation with over 60 cats. He was estimated to be around a year old then — just another cat who had likely spent his whole life blending into the background, trying not to ask for too much. At first, we thought his future would be as a barn kitty. He was shy, unsure, and seemed happiest keeping his distance. But after we watched him for a while in our barn kitty program, we felt like there was a different story to be told about this go..... so we decided last fall to let him free roam with our regular fosters. And then we discovered who Wexler really was. Underneath that cautious exterior was a sweet, quirky, tender-hearted boy who had simply never been given enough time. He has the most adorable little snaggle-tooth smile, with one tooth that sticks out just enough to make you grin every time you see him. One of his ears is permanently crumpled from old wounds — a cauliflower ear that tells part of his story before he ever had a chance to tell it himself. He’s a little chunky now, almost 4 years old, and very food motivated (Wexler firmly believes snacks solve many of life’s problems). He’s still shy at first. He won’t run into your arms on day one. Wexler is the kind of cat who needs time to believe you mean it when you say you love him, and will give him the time to show you. But when he trusts you… he LOVES you. And this sweet boy has the softest heart. We joke that Wexler actually gets his feelings hurt if you laugh at him. If he thinks you’re making fun of his funny little smile or his quirks, he’ll quietly disappear and go hide because his tender heart takes things personally. He’s the kind of soul that feels everything deeply. He wants to be near his person. He wants gentle touches, familiar voices, and the comfort of knowing he finally belongs somewhere. After a long and rough journey, he deserves a soft couch instead of hard ground. He deserves warmth instead of weather. He deserves a best friend. And with his fair complexion and his gentle soul, we don’t want this sweet boy going back out into the elements. He has spent enough of his life surviving. Now he deserves to live. Somewhere out there is a person who won't overlook the snaggle tooth, the funny ear, or the shy beginning, and give him the time he needs to acclimate to a new home. Someone who will see Wexler for exactly who he is — a boy with a heart far bigger than his chunky little body, who has been waiting far too long for his forever home. "Courtesy Post" This is not a Street Paws animal but we are assisting a family with placing their pet.  "MEET DANDELION" Dandelion is female golden, amber ticked stripped tabby domestic shorthair. Her approximate birthdate is 05/16/2025. Dandelion was surrendered to the shelter as a found stray litter along with her siblings. Dandelion is completed vetted which includes microchipping, spaying, ALL current and up to date vaccinations, rabies vaccination, feline testing for feline leukemia and aids she has a negative result, flea prevention and completed deworming. Dandelion is a sweet, beautiful, playful and friendly. She can be shy but will capture your heart with her gentle demeanor and beautiful face. She loves laying in the window and sunbathing in the warm sunshine. She is playful and quiet. She loves other kitties and loves to cuddle and take her naps! She is low-key and gentle and would make a great addition to your home and family as she gets along great with other cats and children.
