Cindy is a Siamese mix and her brother Cowboy is a tuxedo with the personality of a Siamese and the colors of a cow. They both have super silky, soft coats. They were born approximately May 2025 outside. They and their mom were fed by a human who cared for them, but who didn't hold them much. So when I got them to do TNR, I wanted to keep them for a week or two to see how they would do inside. If they had to be returned to the outside, they would be fed but they would have to live with toads and cigarette butts and no vet care ever. With time, they started to trust their foster and started getting comfortable. And 3 months later, they're still on the more shy side, but they have learned to trust. They love to be petted and they purr up a storm, but hey do not like to be picked up, and they're not lap cats. The first time they see someone new, Cowboy will hiss as a greeting, but that soon goes away. Cowboy loves to play and chase any feather toy on a string. He gets so excited and runs and runs even if he is out of breath he "Must get feather". He is very funny and talks a lot. He also loves to roll around and be petted. Belly rubs are his favorite. He purrs super loudly and enjoys attention. Cindy is the more quiet sister. She is more of an observer, but will come out to play once her brother has gotten all of the attention he demands and is exhausted from sprinting after the toys. She loves cheek scratches and purrs up a storm as well. She is a bit more reserved than Cowboy but still enjoys love and attention. They are very bonded. Once his sister ran out of the foster room, Cowboy didn't stop crying until his sister decided come back from her excursion. They are both on the smaller side for their age. As with all rescue animals, her age is our best educated guess! Life with Pearl is wonderfully uncomplicated. She's happiest when she's close to her people, especially if that means claiming a lap for an afternoon nap or keeping you company while you unwind at the end of the day. She's affectionate in that comforting, familiar way that makes it feel like she's always been part of the family. She's not particularly interested in toys or creating excitement for the sake of it. Pearl has discovered that the simple pleasures are the best ones; a warm lap, a soft blanket, a sunny window, and someone she loves nearby! She's also a smart girl with lovely house manners. Pearl is reliably litter box trained and has done very well with grooming over the years. She's become much more accepting of brushing, though she'd still appreciate it if everyone agreed her tummy could remain a brush-free zone. Every cat is allowed one non-negotiable, and Pearl has chosen hers wisely. While being crated isn't something she'd volunteer for, she settles in calmly once she's inside and waits patiently until it's time to come back out! Pearl enjoys the company of other cats and has done well living alongside feline friends. Dogs, however, simply aren't her cup of tea. She's currently living in a home where the resident cats and dog have to remain separated, and despite everyone's best efforts, there have been repeated disagreements whenever they end up together. Because her family loves her so much, they've made the incredibly selfless decision to find her a home where she can finally relax without the stress of sharing her space with a dog. They want Pearl's next chapter to be filled with comfort, peace, and all the quiet moments she enjoys most! When it comes to people, Pearl is most comfortable around women, though she does well living with adults in general. She's perfectly content sharing a home with men too, but she'd rather make the decision about when affection happens. If someone—particularly the man of the house—decides she'd enjoy being picked up, Pearl is usually quick to disagree. She much prefers hopping into your lap because it was her idea. Somehow, that makes being chosen by Pearl feel even more special! Pearl hasn't had the opportunity to spend much time around young children, so we'd recommend thoughtful introductions and a family that understands how to respect a cat's space.
