Story
Simi and Fiona are brother and sister and they are bonded to each other. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together, but they can be separated if need be. I think both of them would do best in homes without young kids or dogs. Before they came to me, they were community cats living on a very busy street in a commercial district. With the constant traffic, and them crossing the street all the time, their caretaker and I agreed it was only a matter of time before one of them got hit. They clearly had some human interaction before and they adjusted well to indoor life. Both made great progress bonding with me, and they were becoming more comfortable and adventurous with every day. Now that their world has completely changed again, they will likely need extra time to adjust and decompress. If they could spend some time together in foster before they go to the shelter, that would be ideal.Fiona is the more outgoing of the two, and the brave one. She was shy at first but made excellent and quick progress with me. It may take her a little time to warm up to strangers. She is very inquisitive, affectionate and playful, with a cheerful and sometimes silly personality. She didn't particularly care for my foster kittens, but she loves her brother. She loves wand toys and churus.Simi is such a gorgeous boy with his stunning blue eyes, I assume he will get a lot of interest based on looks alone. He has a very gentle and sweet demeanor. However, he is very timid and shy, and meeting new people can be quite scary for him. He needs a slow, quiet approach to feel safe. Simi came such a long way in the time he spent with me, and he showed me what a sweet and loving boy he truly is. Once I gained his trust, he was greeting me with meows when I came into the room, giving little kisses and rolling over for belly rubs. I have no doubt he will be a devoted companion for the right person, and he may even end up being a lap cat. His ideal adopter would be someone who understands that he will need time to get to know them and build trust before he feels safe and comfortable enough to come out of his shell. He needs someone with patience and a gentle touch. Simi is crazy about churus, this is a great way to bond with him. He loves to be petted and combed, especially under his chin and behind the ears. He had started becoming more interested in toys in the last two weeks asAs always before adoption, all cats are spay/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, given distemper and rabies vaccines if old enough, flea and dewormer treatments if necessary.

Story
Aztec was trapped by a local neighbor who had been seeing him around for over a year. With cold weather approaching, they wanted to be sure he could move into a proper barn home where he’d have reliable shelter when needed.Aztec is a highly feral cat who is fully accustomed to outdoor life. He’ll make an excellent working cat—ready to help keep your barn, tack room, garage, or attic free of troublesome vermin. Independent and self-sufficient, he prefers his space but thrives in an environment where he can do what he does best.Like most feral cats, Aztec will need to be trapped for any future medical care. To help him settle into his new home, he should begin in an enclosed area within the barn for up to a month. This allows him to acclimate, learn his territory, and understand where to return for food and shelter.

Story
Meet Donna and Sachi! A beautifully bonded pair of seven-year-old purebred Siamese siblings currently in Newton, MA, whose lives are a graceful dance of affection, curiosity, and deep connection wrapped in velvety seal point coats. Donna, the smaller sister with a rounder face and a high-pitched meow, is the quieter soul of the duo. She may take a little time to feel comfortable, but once she does, her affectionate and cuddly nature blossoms. Belly rubs? She adores them! Fetch? She’ll not only play, she’ll initiate it by bringing you her favorite toy! Sachi, her devoted brother, is the more outgoing half of this charming team. Friendly from the start, he’s sweet, intelligent, and just as eager for snuggles. When it’s treat time, he’ll gently wrap his paw around your hand to guide it to his mouth. Yes, it’s as heart-melting as it sounds! Both cats are playful, inquisitive, and love interactive toys like pipe cleaners, wand toys, and hidden feathers. They enjoy chasing each other around the house before curling up together in a cozy nap pile, grooming one another like the lifelong companions they are. They're indoor-only cats who thrive in a calm, quiet space, somewhere with no young children or other pets, where Donna can feel secure and Sachi can stay on his gentle medical routine. Sachi has a heart murmur that’s been carefully managed since 2023. He takes two daily low-cost medications, easily tucked into food or treats, and visits a cardiologist every 6–9 months. He’s always a bit hungrier than Donna and will try to sneak bites of her food, just one of his endearing quirks! Donna and Sachi are looking for a new loving home where their deep bond is cherished and supported. They are currently being lovingly cared for by a family member while their guardian supports the process of helping them find a new home. With their gentle nature, expressive personalities, and unique needs, they’ll bring laughter, companionship, and warmth to the right family. Could your heart and home be the cozy haven these two devoted companions are waiting for? If so, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and let Sachi and Donna begin their next chapter with you!
