Simi and Fiona are brother and sister and they are bonded to each other. It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together, but they can be separated if need be. I think both of them would do best in homes without young kids or dogs. Before they came to me, they were community cats living on a very busy street in a commercial district. With the constant traffic, and them crossing the street all the time, their caretaker and I agreed it was only a matter of time before one of them got hit. They clearly had some human interaction before and they adjusted well to indoor life. Both made great progress bonding with me, and they were becoming more comfortable and adventurous with every day. Now that their world has completely changed again, they will likely need extra time to adjust and decompress. If they could spend some time together in foster before they go to the shelter, that would be ideal.Fiona is the more outgoing of the two, and the brave one. She was shy at first but made excellent and quick progress with me. It may take her a little time to warm up to strangers. She is very inquisitive, affectionate and playful, with a cheerful and sometimes silly personality. She didn't particularly care for my foster kittens, but she loves her brother. She loves wand toys and churus.Simi is such a gorgeous boy with his stunning blue eyes, I assume he will get a lot of interest based on looks alone. He has a very gentle and sweet demeanor. However, he is very timid and shy, and meeting new people can be quite scary for him. He needs a slow, quiet approach to feel safe. Simi came such a long way in the time he spent with me, and he showed me what a sweet and loving boy he truly is. Once I gained his trust, he was greeting me with meows when I came into the room, giving little kisses and rolling over for belly rubs. I have no doubt he will be a devoted companion for the right person, and he may even end up being a lap cat. His ideal adopter would be someone who understands that he will need time to get to know them and build trust before he feels safe and comfortable enough to come out of his shell. He needs someone with patience and a gentle touch. Simi is crazy about churus, this is a great way to bond with him. He loves to be petted and combed, especially under his chin and behind the ears. He had started becoming more interested in toys in the last two weeks asAs always before adoption, all cats are spay/neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, given distemper and rabies vaccines if old enough, flea and dewormer treatments if necessary.

Maia has two main settings: cuddles and chaos, meaning she'll either be curled up on your lap or plotting her next great adventure, usually involving a toy puzzle. Maia is the funniest, sweetest, bossiest, smartest, bravest, and most mischievous girl you'll ever meet. She uses the litter box approximately 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, she does not seem to be able to feel urine or feces leaving her body. This means that surfaces she spends time on will need to be protected. Her biggest challenge is the cleanup involved with her incontinence. However, she is a champ at managing her medical needs, taking her daily medication without complaint and maintaining her health with a high-fiber diet, both of which she will need for life. Her foster parent emphatically states, "She is worth it!" Maia is healthy, happy, and fully thriving now that her regimen is established. Meet Jewel    Jewel is a stunning 2-year-old Siamese mix with soulful blue eyes and a voice she loves to use. True to her Siamese roots, she is very vocal and highly communicative—Jewel will happily “talk” to you about her day and let you know exactly how she’s feeling.   She is incredibly affectionate and loving. While she tolerates being picked up, Jewel much prefers close cuddles where she can relax and feel secure. Her favorite toys are simple but fun: ponytails and jingly balls are guaranteed to keep her entertained.   Jewel does have some special needs that require an experienced, committed adopter. She struggles with separation anxiety and nighttime vocalization, so she needs a calm, understanding home where someone is around often. She also has a severe poultry allergy and must remain on a hypoallergenic, vet-approved diet.   Jewel is a gentle, well-mannered girl who truly just wants love and companionship.   Her ideal home would be with an older owner who is home frequently and/or a household with another friendly cat to help keep her company.
