Story
Meet Suki – The Cuddly Little Social Butterfly Suki has a simple philosophy about life: wherever the people are, that's where she wants to be. This affectionate little girl is confident, curious, social, and wonderfully people-oriented. She's the kind of kitten who happily joins the action, wrestles with her littermates, investigates what's happening outside the window, and then climbs into a lap when she's ready for some affection. And Suki is very serious about cuddle time. Suki Loves: -Being around people -Cuddling -Sitting on laps -Sleeping with her people -Wrestling with her littermates -Playing with other cats -Looking out windows -Exploring -Being part of family life Suki's Favorite Thing: Cuddling with her people. Suki absolutely loves affection and would be happiest with someone who appreciates having a snuggly little companion nearby. She even has a funny cuddle habit: sometimes when she's really comfortable, she'll give you a few little love nibbles while she's snuggling. Social, Confident & Just Independent Enough Suki may love being around people, but she also has a nice independent streak. If you need a little personal space and move her away, she handles it just fine and finds something else to do. She's perfectly capable of entertaining herself until you're available for another round of cuddles. That combination makes her a wonderful companion—affectionate without needing constant attention. A Few Things to Know: -Typical playful kitten energy -Immediately friendly with new people -Playful with other cats -Comfortable with dogs -Loves children -Would be a great fit for a family with kids -Loves sleeping with her people -Eats dry food -Litter box habits have not yet been assessed -May play bite -May scratch furniture -Has some door-darting tendencies -Occasionally gives little nibbles while cuddling -Confident and social -Can entertain herself when needed As with most kittens, Suki is still learning appropriate boundaries. Continued redirection toward scratching posts and toys will help her develop good household habits as she grows. Great Activities for Suki: -Wrestling with another kitten -Interactive play -Cat trees and climbing -Window watching -Exploring boxes and tunnels -Playing with toys -Family cuddle sessions -Lap naps -Sleeping beside her favorite person Best Match: -Family with children -Home with another playful cat -Home with a cat-friendly dog -Someone who wants an affectionate kitten -A family willing to provide plenty of play and enrichment -Someone who doesn't mind sharing their lap -Most importantly: someone willing to cuddle Three Words That Describe Suki Best: ❤️ Affectionate ❤️ Social ❤️ Cuddly Foster Location: Alma, WI Suki is the kind of kitten who makes herself part of the family very quickly. She's confident enough to explore on her own, social enough to enjoy a busy household, and affectionate enough to make sure nobody goes too long without a cuddle. She'll wrestle with her friends, watch the world through the window, investigate whatever you're doing, and then climb right into your lap when she's ready to recharge. If you're looking for a playful little girl who genuinely loves people and believes the best place to end the day is snuggled up beside someone she loves, Suki may be exactly what your family is missing. Story
My name is Ferris — a handsome seal-point Siamese mix with charming snowshoe feet and a voice you’ll never forget. For a long time, I wandered a neighborhood alone. It seemed my family had moved away and simply left me behind. I waited. I hoped. But no one came back for me. Then a kindhearted woman noticed me. She saw past the loneliness and took me in, giving me safety and love until a space opened at Animal Ark. I’ll always be grateful for that. Everyone who meets me says the same thing: I’m friendly, affectionate, and wonderfully talkative. What can I say? I’m part Siamese — we’re known for having opinions, and I’ve got plenty to share. I’ll chat with you about your day, your dinner, your dreams… I just love being part of the conversation. When I arrived at the shelter, I was tested for FIV, FeLV, and heartworm. My results came back positive for both FIV and feline leukemia. It sounds scary, but many cats like me live long, happy, love-filled lives. I just need to be the only cat in my home — which means you get all my affection, all my purrs, and all my stories. I’d be an ideal candidate for a foster home. Animal Ark provides everything I need — food, litter, medication, supplies — and you provide the one thing I want most: a safe, loving place to belong. If you’re looking for a chatty, resilient boy who’s been through some hard knocks but still believes in people, come meet me. Let me look into your eyes, lean into your hand, and tell you my story in my own voice. I think you’ll fall under my spell the moment we meet.
