Siamese kittens & cats in Red Wing, Minnesota

Murietta came from a hoarder’s house. The house was so crowded with stuff and other cats that Murietta was forced to find a place to call her own - the rafters. It’s been years since Murietta was rescued from that hoarder’s house but the horrors she lived through are fresh in her head. Years later, she still prefers the rafters. She likes to be up high. Her tower is her security. Murietta doesn’t live completely in her castle in the clouds. When she does venture down to earth, she loves to curl up with her friend Scrappy. Scrappy is very similar in purrsonality to Murietta. He hasn’t been convinced that he needs to interact with humans. Both Murietta and Scrappy are sweet cats. There’s not a bad bone in their bodies. They just prefer cats to humans. Their adopter needs to appreciate their preferences. Murietta is very bonded to her friend Scrappy. She must be adopted with him. This summer we discovered that a mother cat and her three kittens were living under our deck. We went through much effort to track the mother cat as she moved her family around the neighborhood over the next few months. Eventually we were able to locate, feed and ultimately capture the kittens in September (mother cat was spayed and released). Since then, the three kittens have been in "house cat" training in our home. They are now adorable, social, and healthy 6 month old kittens who are ready to find their fur-ever homes. They are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. This particular adoptable kitten is Rinky. Rinky is like a teddy bear, with a very soft coat and a sweet personality to match. Give him a new toy and he can entertain himself for hours. ** Please note that the $200 adoption fee is to partially reimburse the vet costs for spay/neuter and vaccines. The expense of fostering these kittens has far exceeded that but we consider it money well spent :-)
