Story
Please contact Jamie (jamie@pawsandprayers.org) for more information about this pet.  Meet Badger! Badger was brought to Paws and Prayers as a neonatal and is now finally ready for a new home! Badger was handed a rough start to life. He had an eye issue that couldn’t be resolved until he was neutered but has since been fixed. His eyelid was attached to his eye and has been surgically repaired. Moving forward, Badger may experience leakage in that eye but it doesn’t effect his vision and does not require antibiotics. Badger also has chronic URI - he is on a daily l-lysine supplement to help. Due to this, he would be best as an only cat in the home. Otherwise, he is playful, loving, and outgoing. His adoption fee is $135 Paws and Prayers Kittens are spay/neuter, have received at least two vaccines (adopter responsible for third kitten booster and rabies), have had a littermate or themselves FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litterbox trained unless otherwise noted. Please  read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions.  Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.  December 25, 2025, 11:09 am

Story
Tofu is an 8 month old male Lilac Point Siamese with a soft, thoughtful expression that reflects his gentle nature. He arrived at ARF in mid-January after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter, alongside his sister Cleo, who is also a Lilac Point Siamese. We don’t know how Tofu and Cleo originally found themselves in the shelter system, but we do know they’ve experienced multiple transitions in a short period of time. After moving from their original placement to a shelter and then to ARF, Tofu is understandably shy and scared right now, still trying to make sense of his new surroundings. Tofu does not need to be adopted with his sister, but we always like to make adopters aware when littermates arrive together, especially in case someone may be interested in keeping siblings together in a forever home. Tofu is looking for a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust isn’t always instant. He will need time, consistency and gentle interactions to learn that he is safe and cared for. With patience and compassion, Tofu will begin to relax and show more of his true personality. Siamese cats are well-known for being: * Affectionate and people-focused * Highly intelligent and curious * Social and emotionally bonded to their humans * Often vocal and expressive once they feel secure * Playful, interactive and happiest with companionship and routine While Tofu may not be ready to fully show these traits just yet, they are typical of the breed and often emerge once a Siamese cat feels safe and settled. If you’re willing to give a shy young cat the time he needs to feel secure, you'll witness firsthand as Tofu grows into a loving, loyal companion. Sometimes the quietest beginnings lead to the strongest bonds. Please note: Tofu has a special adoption fee of $200. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you’d like to learn more about Tofu and meet him in person, please stop by ARF. We'd be happy to introduce you. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Cleo is an 8 month old female Lilac Point Siamese with soft coloring, striking blue eyes and a gentle soul that’s still learning the world is a safe place. She arrived at our shelter mid-January after being transferred from an overcrowded facility, along with her brother Tofu, who is also a Lilac Point Siamese. We don’t know how they ended up in the shelter system, but we do know they’ve already been through at least three different environments (their original home, an overcrowded shelter and now ARF). That kind of upheaval can be a lot for a young cat and Cleo is understandably a bit timid and unsure of her surroundings right now. Cleo does not need to be adopted with Tofu, but we always like to let adopters know when siblings come in together just in case someone is interested in keeping littermates connected in their forever home. Cleo is looking for a patient, kind adopter who understands that trust takes time. She’ll do best with someone willing to move at her pace and that will give her space, consistency and gentle reassurance as she learns that her new human is her protector and caregiver. Once she realizes she’s safe, she’ll be able to let her guard down and truly blossom. Siamese cats are known for being: * Deeply affectionate and people-oriented * Highly intelligent and curious * Emotionally sensitive and strongly bonded to their humans * Communicative (many love to “talk” once comfortable) * Playful and interactive, often enjoying routines and companionship While Cleo may not show all of these traits right away, they are often there just beneath the surface, waiting for the right environment and the right person to bring them out. Please note: Cleo has a special adoption fee of $200. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you’re someone who finds joy in earning a cat’s trust and watching confidence slowly bloom, Cleo could be an incredibly rewarding companion. With patience, love and time, this beautiful girl has the potential to become a devoted and loving member of your family.
