Story
Meet Nintendo! Nintendo arrived at Hillside with his brother, Sony, and their dog sibling after their family sadly lost their home. As a proud Siamese mix, Nintendo comes equipped with all the classic features: stunning looks, plenty of opinions, and just a touch of sass. Don't let the attitude fool you - underneath that "I make the rules around here" exterior is a cat who enjoys attention and being part of the action. He's an adult cat who is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to find a kingdom worthy of his royal presence. Looking for a cat with personality to spare? Nintendo is ready to level up your life. Just remember, he's the one holding the controller.

Story
Azul is a stud muffin of a big boy cat. We don’t know what is bigger – his beautiful blue eyes or his enormous round head. We estimate him to weigh around 15 lbs and believe he is around 5-6 years old. Azul was found roaming a neighborhood along the Texas Mexico border, where a good Samaritan saw him and knew she had to help him. He was super scrawny, covered in fleas, tons of missing hair and scabs all over his body. After about 6 weeks, Azul is fully healed, all of his hair has grown back, and he is ready for his forever home. Despite his age, he is very playful and active. He loves to be around people and loves to play with his toys. Cuddling is one of his favorite things. Azul is in a foster home where he is around other cats and dogs. Even though he is big, he gets along wonderfully with other cats! He has met dogs in the current foster home and has no issues with them. He can live happily with other dogs and cats in the home! Azul would love to be a lap cat and be loved every day and all day. He does NOT mark. Azul is neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport. PLEASE READ ABOUT AZUL: Azul is a sweet, gentle soul who has recently tested positive for FIV. This means he needs an indoor-only home where he can be pampered and live a long, healthy life. FIV-positive cats are often the most affectionate! Azul is a total lovebug who is looking for a cozy spot to nap and a family to love. Don't let FIV scare you — it's just a label, not a limitation! He is a very healthy boy that you would not even know had FIV if not for the test. Most cats don’t show symptoms! Please consider reading some facts about FIV and let us know if you would still like to be considered for his adoption. Azul is ready to bring joy to your home. We look forward to hearing back from you. Here are some facts and information to help you learn about FIV: FIV is Not a Death Sentence: FIV is a slow-acting virus that affects a cat's immune system, not a death sentence. Many FIV+ cats live long, normal lives (10-15+ years) and never show symptoms. Perfectly Safe for Families: FIV is not transmissible to humans, dogs, or other non-feline pets. Debunking Myths About Transmission of FIV: Casual Contact is Safe: Contrary to popular belief, FIV is not spread through litter boxes, water bowls, or grooming. Mainly Spreads Through Fighting: The virus is primarily passed through deep, penetrating bite wounds, usually among unneutered, aggressive strays. Safe to Live with Negative Cats: In a stable, non-aggressive home, FIV+ cats can live peacefully with FIV-negative cats. https://www.awlnsw.com.au/find-out-more-about-adopting-an-fiv-cat/ https://bestfriends.org/pet-care-resources/fiv-cats-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-faqs Prior to adopting him, he will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian. Story
Meet Rosie. Rosie came to us from ACCT Philly with four kittens. Her kittens have now been weaned and Rosie has been spayed so she is looking for a forever home. Rosie is a super friendly cat and we think she is probably around a year old. She was a great momma to her kittens and would certainly do well with one of them. She doesn't seem to bother with other adult cats but can certainly be in a home as an only cat. She does appear to be a beautiful Simese mix and is very talkative which is true to the breed. Rosie is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for Feluk/FIV and is litterbox trained. Her adoption fee is $100.00. If you are interested in adopting Rosie, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the cat adoption application.  ##2712385##

Story
Warrior was brought to a New York shelter by the police department along with 4 or 5 other cats after his owner passed away. We unfortunately don't even know Warrior's original name - all of the cats were named after basketball teams by the shelter staff. Journeys stepped in to help Warrior find a new home since the New York shelter was not an environment that would help him come out of his shell. We don't know what kind of home Warrior lived in before he was taken to the shelter, but we would venture to guess he was living with an older individual who did not spend much time with the cats. Poor Warrior continues to be terrified of people. He is hoping to find a foster home (possibly a foster to adopt home) that will be able to spend a lot of time helping him learn to trust people. He does seem to be great with other cats and having some friendly cats in a home could be a very good environment for him. Despite being extremely scared, he has always used his litterbox faithfully. Please contact Journeys at journeyscatrescue@gmail.com if you would be interested in fostering him.

Story
Meet Rumi This stunning 1-year-old Siamese mix is equal parts sugar and spice. Rumi definitely has a little sass to her and isnt afraid to let you know when she has opinions but underneath that feisty personality is a super loving, affectionate girl who absolutely adores attention and pets. On her terms, of course. She likes to keep everyone humble Rumi loves to cuddle when shes in the mood, enjoys hanging out with her people, and has tons of personality packed into one tiny cat. She does great with kids and other cats. Dogs arent exactly her favorite thing in the world, but she tolerates them well enough as long as they respect her personal space Shes litter box trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever home that appreciates a cat with a little attitude and a whole lot of love

Story
If you are a Siamese cat lover - Syd may be the boy for you! As a flame point, he has a gorgeous apricot coat and beautiful light blue eyes. True to Siamese form, Syd is very vocal and loves to tell you exactly what he is thinking, He is also very active and loves to explore! When you come to visit, you may find him happily playing or sunning himself on our screened-in "catios". Syd has a strong personality. He loves interacting with humans. We don't necessarily think he needs to be in a single-cat household, but we do see that he likes to be in charge in his communal living space. If you're ready to add a furry friend to your household who is "personality plus", Syd may be the guy for you!
