Story
Warrior was brought to a New York shelter by the police department along with 4 or 5 other cats after his owner passed away. We unfortunately don't even know Warrior's original name - all of the cats were named after basketball teams by the shelter staff. Journeys stepped in to help Warrior find a new home since the New York shelter was not an environment that would help him come out of his shell. We don't know what kind of home Warrior lived in before he was taken to the shelter, but we would venture to guess he was living with an older individual who did not spend much time with the cats. Poor Warrior continues to be terrified of people. He is hoping to find a foster home (possibly a foster to adopt home) that will be able to spend a lot of time helping him learn to trust people. He does seem to be great with other cats and having some friendly cats in a home could be a very good environment for him. Despite being extremely scared, he has always used his litterbox faithfully. Please contact Journeys at journeyscatrescue@gmail.com if you would be interested in fostering him.

Story
Nimbus-- Purebred cat alert! He's a Siamese neutered male who was used in a kitten mill operation and when he became ill he was tossed onto the streets, where he wasn't faring so well. Thankfully a kind community cat feeder called us because he did not seem well. And he wasn't; his teeth were terrible so a dental was in order. But now he is in good shape and would love a home as good as the hundreds of kittens he's sired. Aside from being stunningly beautiful he is very affectionate and playful.  Please note his adoption fee is $250     This cat has tested FeLV/FIV. negative, is current on vaccinations and parasite-free. To hasten the adoption process, please complete our adoption form online at https://forms.gle/5xfPr3EUdSYSyAGV7 . Story
Hope was found on a house call by police officers, her owner had passed away. After staying with a few fosters, my parents took Hope in and have had her for about 7 years. She is around 12 years old. My parents are moving into senior care which does not allow pets. Hope is an indoor/outdoor cat - they tried to keep her indoors, but she kept finding ways to get out and explore! She will scratch at windows and doors until she is let out, so new owner should be comfortable with letting her out, but don't worry she always comes back! It would be ideal if her new owner lived in a safe neighborhood where she could roam around as she pleases. She is very friendly to neighbors and even civil with other neighbor cats. Hope LOVES to cuddle up on your lap or sit on your legs for hours. She also loves her treats, and she does better on a kidney-friendly diet. Hope is litter-trained, but does tend to have accidents outside of the litter box if it is not cleaned regularly. Hope is the sweetest girl.

Story
After 3 years being in her home she was returned to us where it was discovered she had since tested positive for FELV. She is very loving, always there to greet you, chirp at you, she’s a big gamer and loves to sit on your lap while you’re gaming or watching tv. She does not like stinky doggies and perches high above them but is not aggressive and is great with kids! Shes a huge lover and just wants to find her forever. Felv isn’t as scary as it sounds and they can still live a long happy life. While she has tested positive she has had no flare ups or concerns since being in foster. Would you like to adopt this sweetheart? She’s been looking for her forever for 8 months now, could you be them?

Story
Mia is a gorgeous young flame point diva with a big personality and zero interest in sharing her spotlight. This sassy, bougie princess knows exactly what she wants, and what she wants is to be the one and only queen of her castle. She’s chatty, expressive, and not shy about telling you her opinions. Whether she’s announcing mealtime, requesting attention, or just narrating her day, Mia always has something to say and expects her loyal subjects to listen. When she first came into care, we thought she might be feral, but it turns out she simply has very high standards and other cats do not meet them. Mia would be happiest as the only cat in the home where she can fully relax, rule her domain, and soak up all the attention without competition. While she might tolerate one extremely respectful feline roommate after very slow introductions, her royal preference is a cat free kingdom. If you’re looking for a confident, entertaining companion with main character energy and model good looks, Mia is ready to claim her throne in your home.If Mia’s bold queen energy doesn’t feel like the right match for your home, no worries at all. You might just fall in love with her flame point male doppelgänger, Soul. He’s a gentle, easygoing gentleman with charming manners and a noble spirit to match his good looks. Soul gets along well with both cats and dogs, making him a lovely fit for families looking for a more laid back companion.
