🌼 Meet Our “Gentleman’s Club 7” Breeder-Release Maltese Dogs 🌼 (Reginald, Clarence, Edwin, Percival, Wilfred, Bertram, and Theodore) Reginald, Clarence, Edwin, Percival, and Wilfred are being fostered together and are starting over after living their whole lives in a breeding environment. They are scared and under-socialized, but with patience and kind routines, they can begin to feel safe and loved. 💖 Personality & Temperament * Very timid and unsure of people * Learning what it means to live indoors and be part of a family * Each dog is different—some may approach sooner, others may need more time to feel safe * Get along with other dogs 🏡 Ideal Home We’re looking for patient adopters who understand that these dogs are starting from scratch and will need time to adjust. Requirements & Important Notes: * Securely Fenced-in yard required: They are not leash trained yet and are too frightened for walks. * Somewhat potty trained: They’re learning to use pee pads indoors and will need continued guidance and routine. * Not leash trained: They will need time to get comfortable with a leash. Meet Fabio! Fabio is a sweet 7-year-old male Shih Tzu with a gentle cautious soul. He is a retired breeding dog so the world is new for him. This little guy loves nothing more than snuggling on your lap and soaking up all the affection he can get. Once he warms up, he’ll happily rest his head on your shoulder for hugs—one of his favorite ways to show love. Fabio gets along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys playing with them, so he requires a home with another friendly pup. He’s a bit shy at first and likes to sit back and watch the world, but with patience and kindness he quickly becomes a loyal, cuddly companion. He isn’t a fan of cold weather or snow and prefers to spend most of his time indoors. Fabio uses a potty pad reliably in the house, and although he goes outside when encouraged, he likes to come right back in. He hasn’t mastered steps yet, but we are working on it. He would need a securely fenced-in yard or secure outdoor area to help keep him safe. He is not leash trained yet but working on it. Fabio is looking for a calm, loving home where he can feel secure, snuggle up with his people, and enjoy the company of another dog. He could do well with calm older children. If you’re hoping for a gentle, affectionate little buddy Fabio might be the perfect match. I am getting neutered and a dental cleaning 12/5 Friday. I can be adopted once I have healed from surgery. Wolfie is a 7 year old Shih Tzu with a gentle heart and a loyal spirit. This sensitive boy came into rescue after his previous home was not the right fit. He takes his “lap protector” duties very seriously and would thrive in a calm, adult only home with one or two special people to call his own who are home often to keep him company. Wolfie did not do well with other male “in your face dogs” but does best with calm small dogs his size. He is high energy, and another dog could help him burn some energy, but he could be a solo pup just as well! Wolfie would do best with a fenced yard or a new home who will keep a close eye (and leash!) on him. He is more active than many people expect from a Shih Tzu and regular outdoor play helps keep him happy and confident. He will also take himself for a run given the opportunity, and can be a sneaky guy to catch up to. He has is great with leash training and enjoys walks and little adventures. Wolfie can be a bit anxious at first but once he feels safe his affectionate and devoted nature shines. His favorite place is curled up on your lap soaking up love and attention. He LOVES snuggling under the covers at bedtime and will spin in circles when he gets excited. He can also be a sassy Shih Tzu chatterbox when he knows what he wants!
