Story
Meet Lio. This sweet little Bichon mix is feeling a bit nervous right now, and it’s easy to understand why—he was recently surrendered to an impound when his family did not have the time to care for him. Lio has lived in a home for his whole 4 years of life so being in the shelter is a big stressor for him. He is hopeful his stay here will be short so he can move onto the next chapter of his life!Lio is a gentle, sensitive pup who bonds closely with his people. Sudden changes can make him shy at first, and he may take a little time to warm up in new environments. But once he feels safe, his loving personality begins to shine. He enjoys quiet moments, cozy blankets, and being near his favorite person. This little guy would do best in a calm, patient home where he won’t be left alone for long stretches and where his confidence can grow at his own pace. With reassurance, routine, and lots of positive encouragement, he’ll blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion.Lio is a breed that does not shed, so his new family will need to keep up with regular grooming appointments to keep him looking and feeling his best! Being a small dog, he may be more prone to dental tarter and his new family will need to commit to future dental cleanings as needed to keep him happy and healthy! If you’re looking for a loyal lap dog who just wants to feel secure and cherished, this tender-hearted Bichon mix is ready for a fresh start!Adoption fee is $400 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
Meet Chablis 💛 Chablis is a 14-year-old Bichon with the softest heart and the gentlest soul. He recently returned to rescue through no fault of his own—his beloved owner’s health declined, and they could no longer care for him. It’s clear he was cherished, and now he’s simply hoping to find another quiet home where he can feel safe and loved again. This sweet senior is all about the simple things in life: a cozy bed, a calm routine, and someone to sit beside. He absolutely enjoys cuddling and will happily nestle in close for some peaceful companionship. He’s not demanding—just grateful. Chablis can do stairs like a champ, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is also good with cats. In fact, he does best with another dog in the home. Having a furry friend nearby seems to bring him comfort and confidence. He is potty trained but will also use potty pads. He is leash trained. He qualifies for our Senior for Senior program, making him an especially lovely match for someone looking for a calm, devoted companion to share their days. If you have a soft place for a soft little soul, Chablis is ready to rest his head there. Apply to adopt at campcompanion.org. Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.
