Meet Homer, an absolutely adorable Shih Tzu who’s ready to discover what real love and comfort feel like. About 7 years old, Homer came to us from a puppy mill, and much of the world is still brand new to him. Because of this, he can be timid with unfamiliar sights, sounds, and experiences, but with patience and kindness, his gentle personality truly shines.Homer enjoys being outside and taking in the fresh air, making slow, peaceful walks something he can grow to love. He will need help with leash walking and potty training, as well as guidance to learn the routines of living in a home with a family. He’ll also need a family willing to help him watch his weight so he can stay happy and healthy for years to come.This sweet boy is just beginning to learn what it means to be a beloved pet. A calm, understanding home that will move at his pace will help Homer blossom into the loving companion he was always meant to be.
