Meet Homer, an absolutely adorable Shih Tzu who’s ready to discover what real love and comfort feel like. About 7 years old, Homer came to us from a puppy mill, and much of the world is still brand new to him. Because of this, he can be timid with unfamiliar sights, sounds, and experiences, but with patience and kindness, his gentle personality truly shines.Homer enjoys being outside and taking in the fresh air, making slow, peaceful walks something he can grow to love. He will need help with leash walking and potty training, as well as guidance to learn the routines of living in a home with a family. He’ll also need a family willing to help him watch his weight so he can stay happy and healthy for years to come.Homer is looking for a home where he can be the only pet. Because he spent his life as a breeder, he hasn’t learned appropriate social behaviors with other animals and tends to fixate on them. He’ll do best as the center of attention in a calm, pet-free home.Homer`s hair is shorter now, because we discovered lots of deep matting when we did his neuter surgery. He`s just as handsome, and we`ll bet he feels a lot better!This sweet boy is just beginning to learn what it means to be a beloved pet. He is housebroken, crate trained, and demonstrating good behavior around other dogs, older children, as well as cats. Falkor enjoys cuddling and watching TV, although he does not yet appear to be familiar with toys. He is seeking a forever home. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to PA. Buttercup and her sister and brother, Bubbles and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Buttercup has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 7 pounds and is probably full grown now. Buttercup is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Buttercup is a little bossy but plays great with her brother and sister. we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them but would always want to be the boss. She would be fine with older children and we are not sure about cats but the bossy part would be the same at first.
