Meet Jake! Affectionately known as “Jake from State Farm,” this 14-year-old Silky Terrier still has plenty of personality, pep, and love to give. Don’t let his age fool you—Jake enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, and being right in the middle of whatever his people are doing. ​ Jake is a social little guy who thrives on companionship and would love a home where someone is around often. He has a bit of FOMO and simply wants to be included in daily life. Once he feels comfortable, his playful and affectionate side shines through, and he quickly settles into being a loyal little shadow. ​ He would do best with patient, dog-savvy adopters who understand that while Jake is sweet, he can also be sensitive when feeling stressed or restrained. He may react when picked up unexpectedly or during grooming and vet handling, so respecting his boundaries and helping him feel secure is important. ​ Jake has lived successfully with a cat and is a bonded pair with Luna Bee. His interactions with dogs are still being evaluated, though he can be reactive around them. A calm home with respectful older children could be a good fit for him. ​ Like many senior dogs, Jake does have some ongoing medical needs, including a prescription urinary diet, regular grooming, dental care, and monitoring for mild heart disease and previous urinary issues. Despite this, he remains happy, engaged, and full of life. ​ Jake is looking for someone who will embrace both his quirks and his charm—a patient, loving home where he can spend his golden years feeling safe, included, and adored. ​ Jake is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Meet Sophie 🐾 Sophie is a sweet 4-5-year-old Maltese mix who is ready to leave her difficult past behind and start a new life full of love. Despite the hardships she experienced before coming to rescue, Sophie has an incredibly affectionate spirit. She forms a deep bond with her person and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. Sophie absolutely loves being close to her favorite human and is happiest when she’s snuggled up beside you. While Sophie can get along with other dogs, she would truly prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves. Sophie is housebroken and recently had a full dental, so she’s feeling great and ready for her fresh start. She does carry a small reminder of her past — an old injury on her back from being attacked by a larger dog, and the fur in that area will likely never grow back. But it doesn’t slow her down or take away from her loving personality. She will require regular grooming to keep her coat in good shape. Sophie is looking for a patient, loving home where she can finally feel safe and cherished. In return, she will give endless cuddles, loyalty, and companionship. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Bentley! Bentley is a 4-year-old, 10 LB Terrier/Lhasa Apso mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. This little guy is sweet, cuddly, and loving with his people once he feels safe — but he does take time to open up and trust. Because of this, Bentley is looking for a very special home that can give him patience, structure, and stability. Bentley will need an adult-only household in a calmer, quieter environment. A bustling, busy home or small children would be too overwhelming for him. He enjoys going on walks and would love a quieter neighborhood where he can explore without too much stress. Once he has bonded with his person, he becomes incredibly loyal, affectionate, and loves to curl up for snuggles. Bentley does well with other dogs, but tends to prefer smaller dogs to larger ones. He can be shy and may fear nip when he’s uncomfortable, so he will need an experienced, dog-savvy adopter who understands shy or fearful pups and can give him the space and time he needs to decompress. Underneath his initial shyness, Bentley is playful, goofy, and full of love. With the right home — one that is calm, predictable, and patient — Bentley will blossom into a fun and affectionate little companion who bonds deeply to his person. Bentley is UTD vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
