Story
Meet Jake! Affectionately known as “Jake from State Farm,” this 14-year-old Silky Terrier still has plenty of personality, pep, and love to give. Don’t let his age fool you—Jake enjoys walks, playtime, cuddles, and being right in the middle of whatever his people are doing. Jake is a social little guy who thrives on companionship and would love a home where someone is around often. He has a bit of FOMO and simply wants to be included in daily life. Once he feels comfortable, his playful and affectionate side shines through, and he quickly settles into being a loyal little shadow. He would do best with patient, dog-savvy adopters who understand that while Jake is sweet, he can also be sensitive when feeling stressed or restrained. He may react when picked up unexpectedly or during grooming and vet handling, so respecting his boundaries and helping him feel secure is important. Jake has lived successfully with a cat and is a bonded pair with Luna Bee. His interactions with dogs are still being evaluated, though he can be reactive around them. A calm home with respectful older children could be a good fit for him. Like many senior dogs, Jake does have some ongoing medical needs, including a prescription urinary diet, regular grooming, dental care, and monitoring for mild heart disease and previous urinary issues. Despite this, he remains happy, engaged, and full of life. Jake is looking for someone who will embrace both his quirks and his charm—a patient, loving home where he can spend his golden years feeling safe, included, and adored. Jake is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Story
Anya was adopted from a rescue agency in Southern California nine years ago for my wife, who was battling cancer at the time. My wife has now passed and I have had to relocate to the Seattle area to be near family. The ADU in which I'm now living does not have a fenced yard, and Anya has always been used to going in and out as she pleases. Anya is now a senior dog and has lost her hearing, but is in otherwise good health. If allowed to go outside or if walked regularly she will not pee or poo in the house, but she does have accidents if left alone for too long.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bubbles, a little Shih Tzu puppy with a fluffy coat, a playful personality, and absolutely no understanding of personal space yet. Bubbles’ mom came to us as a stray in terrible condition — severely matted, neglected, and very pregnant. Shortly after arriving in rescue, she gave birth to four puppies. Sadly, one puppy didn’t survive, but Bubbles and the remaining siblings have grown into healthy, happy puppies now looking for forever homes. Born on February 28, 2026, Bubbles is curious, playful, and into all the normal puppy things like toys, exploring, and getting distracted every five seconds. Like any puppy, she’ll need basic training including housebreaking, crate training, leash walking, and learning manners as she grows up. Her future family also needs to be prepared for grooming. Shih Tzus require frequent brushing and regular grooming appointments to prevent painful matting, especially around the behind area. Puppy coats are often even more work while the adult coat comes in, so staying on top of grooming is really important for dogs like Bubbles. Bubbles is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped—he’s all set for his next chapter. His adoption fee is $600. Apply to adopt Bubbles at: www.adoggie4you.org Bubbles is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast. There is an additional $250 transport fee. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 29, 2026, 4:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Benson, a Shih Tzu puppy with a cute face and the typical puppy belief that everything in life is either a toy or should be investigated immediately. His mom came to us as a stray in pretty rough shape — severely matted, neglected, and very pregnant. Not long after arriving in rescue, she gave birth to four puppies. Sadly, one puppy didn’t survive, but Benson and his siblings have grown into healthy, happy little pups ready to find homes of their own. Born on February 28, 2026, Benson is playful, curious, and full of puppy energy. He’ll need all the normal puppy training — housebreaking, crate training, leash walking, and learning basic manners. He’s still a baby, so patience and consistency will go a long way. It’s also important that his future family understands grooming needs. Shih Tzu coats mat very easily if not kept brushed out, especially around the behind area, and puppy coats can actually be harder to maintain while the adult coat comes in. Regular brushing and routine grooming appointments are not optional for a dog like Benson — they’re part of keeping him healthy and comfortable. Benson is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and microchipped—he’s all set for his next chapter. He is currently too young for 4dx testing, but is current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $600. Apply to adopt at: www.adoggie4you.org Benson is currently in Texas but can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, and along the East Coast.
