Story
Boudreaux is a Shih Tzu puppy with a big personality packed into a tiny, fluffy body—and he is pure joy from head to tail. This fun, silly little guy is always ready to make you smile, whether he’s bouncing around with his toys or snuggling up for some quality cuddle time.
Boudreaux is a bit more confident when it comes to people. He’s perfectly happy to be picked up right away, and if you get down on his level, he’ll gladly climb into your lap and soak up all the love. He’s playful and spunky, but just as quickly settles into a calm, cozy nap—either in your arms, his bed, or right next to you.
Boudreaux absolutely loves his toys—stuffies, chewies, balls—you name it! He’ll happily entertain himself or play alongside his brother, but he’s also perfectly content doing his own thing, especially if his humans are nearby. He even knows how to fetch and will bring the toy back like a little pro, sitting patiently for the next throw.
He’s off to a fantastic start with all the important puppy basics. Boudreaux is doing great with potty training—using pee pads consistently indoors and going outside when taken out. He eats and drinks well, though like any puppy, he can get a little distracted by all the exciting things around him. Giving him a calm space to eat helps him stay focused and finish his meals.
This sweet boy is incredibly respectful and well-mannered. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and understands boundaries quickly with just a gentle correction. He’s also great with cats—curious but not interested in chasing or bothering them. He’s been around older kids and would likely do just fine with younger ones too, especially since he’s so small and eager to learn.
Boudreaux is a quiet little companion who rarely makes a peep. He rides calmly in the car, handles bath time like a champ, and sleeps soundly through the night in bed with his people (his favorite place to be!). He truly loves being close to his humans and will happily snooze wherever you are.
So many of the typical puppy challenges have already been worked through, making Boudreaux an absolute dream addition to a lucky home. He’s sweet, respectful, playful, and full of love to give.

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:
✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.
✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).
✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.
The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.
Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.
Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
