Finn is a 6-year-old St. Berdoodle, about 100 lbs, who has been with our family since he was 8 weeks old, along with his bonded companion, Nyx. He is laid-back most of the day, with occasional bursts of energy running and playing with her. He enjoys cuddles and attention, but is also perfectly content relaxing nearby on his own.Finn is very intelligent, knows his basic commands, and has no history of aggression or destructive behavior. He can be a little reserved with new people at first and may keep his distance until he feels comfortable, but he warms up with time. He is neutered, accustomed to a doggie door and self-feeder, but also does well with being let out and eating on a set schedule.Finding a new home for Finn and Nyx is an incredibly difficult decision. They have spent their entire lives together, and we are strongly hoping to find a home where they can remain as a pair and be just as loved.

Meet Darla, a seven-year-old, 75-pound St. Bernard mix. This gentle giant had a rough start. She was found tied up outside the Maricopa County shelter for hours in the blazing June heat. Understandably, she was scared and reactive at first, but with patience and kindness, Darla has begun to show her true, affectionate self. Darla may be nervous when meeting new people, but give her a little time, and you’ll be rewarded with loyal companionship and leaning hugs that might knock you off balance (literally!). She adores scritches and pets, especially when she can press in close. Darla prefers the solo spotlight and would do best as your one-and-only pet. She walks well on a leash, is easy to handle, and would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and appreciated. Her $150 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. In the middle of an Arizona summer, with temperatures hitting 115°, Bennett was being passed between a group of unhoused people trying to keep this big puppy alive. They told us what Bennett had been through before he ended up with them. They knew the streets were no place for him, and despite having very little themselves, they wanted something better for this dog. So we took him in. Our community helped us raise the funds to get Bennett into a board-and-train program with our friends at Inertia Canine, and this boy has absolutely BLOSSOMED. Bennett is goofy, affectionate, great with people, and great with dogs big AND small. He’s learning how to be a polite inside dog, how to play, swim, and even how to enjoy full off-leash freedom. At around 65–70 lbs, Bennett is going to be the ULTIMATE adventure dog. Hiking, road trips, exploring, lake days, weekends away… this is the dog you bring along for all of it. He is neutered, vaccinated, medically cleared, and ready for his person. Our biggest goal is to find Bennett’s adopter while he is still with his trainer, so his new family can work directly with them and have his follow-up lessons transitioned straight into his new home come the beginning of October! Milo is a very energetic boy who craves constant play time and attention. He's a bit high strung and tends to bark and whine if he hears something outside. He can be shy when it comes to affection. He just won't give it all of the time, but he won't refuse any hugs or kisses either. Milo is very social. Every time he sees someone new, he has to go and meet them. He will holler, bark, and pant, but it's not because he wants to attack. He just really wants to say Hello. And he loves other dogs, especially getting to play with them. He also loves doing tuggies with people. Although Milo loves to go for walks, he gets nervous when the leash comes out. You need to know the command to get him to stop, otherwise he will pull you down the stairs. He knows so many tricks, but he is not a fan of doing them unless he really wants the treat. Milo has had a difficult medical history of late. He's had valley fever, recently broke his leg, and has something growing in his belly. These things have caused him some pain, and he has lashed out at times. His owner believes the right person can help him get better and live the rest of his years enjoying life. Meet Milo today! He may also need occasional ear cleanings, as his ears tend to get dirty more often than most dogs. What truly makes him special is his calm, easygoing temperament. Asgeir is most comfortable outdoors due to his breed. He gets anxious indoors. He is a protector and will keep predators away, especially at night. He has been fenced, but with training, he could protect a larger perimeter or area. He was originally used for protecting goats in 2021. After the pandemic, most of the livestock was sold, so he is now mainly been protecting other areas of the home. He gets along well with the other female large breed dog, but it is not known how he does with male dogs. He is sweet, gentle, and very smart. He is great with kids of all sized.  Asgeir has never attacked any animal or human. He will growl to let other dogs know his food bowl is off limits. However, he is a gentleman and will not eat other's food. He is tolerant of cats, but he will bark at them if he isn't familiar with them as part of the family. He has a Hotspot on his back leg he likes to lick often; it is under a vet's supervision. Asgeir would love a home with space, love, and an outdoor setup. Meet Asgeir today!
