Meet Darla, a seven-year-old, 75-pound St. Bernard mix. This gentle giant had a rough start. She was found tied up outside the Maricopa County shelter for hours in the blazing June heat. Understandably, she was scared and reactive at first, but with patience and kindness, Darla has begun to show her true, affectionate self. Darla may be nervous when meeting new people, but give her a little time, and you’ll be rewarded with loyal companionship and leaning hugs that might knock you off balance (literally!). She adores scritches and pets, especially when she can press in close. Darla prefers the solo spotlight and would do best as your one-and-only pet. She walks well on a leash, is easy to handle, and would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can feel safe and appreciated. Her $150 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Meet Samson , once on death row at MCACC he was rescued and has been with a foster who can longer take care of him he’s potty trained, leashed trained , at the age of 4 this sweet attentive boy is very loving. Story
I don’t know where Nia came from. My ex came home with her one day and I really didn’t need another dog but she was so loving and clearly abused by her previous owner so I didn’t want to take her back. We couldn’t find a place to take her so we kept her. I kept her and got rid of him so she’s been with me for the last two years. She’s very sweet but super protective. I think because of where she came from she definitely needs to be the only pet. She is honestly one of the biggest babies I’ve ever met and I wish I could keep her but her and my pitbull aren’t getting along anymore and that’s too much for me to handle on my own. She’s a very very happy dog and loves to cuddle. Spoiled rotten unfortunately so that’s my fault. I would love for her to go to someone that won’t leave her outside all day. Whoever had her before made her an outside dog so she’s not really a fan of being out for very long. House trained and only chews on toys.
