Story
Meet Zeus, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. This sweet and friendly dog has a knack for making anyone's day brighter. He's not just a bundle of joy, but also a smart companion who loves to play. Zeus has a mellow demeanor, and he's quite independent, able to entertain himself when you're busy. But when you're ready for cuddles, he's always game. His loyalty is unwavering, a true friend through thick and thin. Zeus's playful spirit, combined with his gentle and loyal nature, makes him the perfect addition to anyone looking for a loving, loyal, and playful companion. Zeus would do best in a quiet home with 1 or 2 people, with no children or other pets.

Story
All hail Cleopatra 👑🐾 This 8-week-old (very likely, strongly leaning toward it 😉) St. Bernard mix is already a sturdy 10 pounds of puppy perfection. With her striking black and white coat and confident little strut, Cleopatra absolutely lives up to her royal name. She’s got the presence, the poise… and then the zoomies kick in. Cleopatra is sweet, fun-loving, and full of that big puppy energy. She loves to play, explore, and soak up all the attention she can get — because obviously, queens deserve admiration. Beneath her playful spirit is a total cuddle bug who’s more than happy to curl up and accept her royal snuggles. If she’s anything like her estimated breed, you can expect a big, loyal best friend with an even bigger heart as she grows. Cleopatra is scheduled to debut this Saturday 2/21 at the Adopt Joy event at the PetSmart in Newburgh. If you’re ready to welcome this little queen (who may grow into a very majestic lady) into your home, head over to happylifeanimalrescue.org and register for adoption. That’s your first step toward giving Cleopatra the happy life she was clearly born to rule. 👑🤍

Story
Martha is a female Saint Bernard.Martha is a gentle giant of a lovebug. She is incredibly sweet, very social, and loves people. Her easy-going personality and patience makes her an excellent dog for just about anyone. Not surprising, food is one of her favorite things, as are going on long, rambling walks to get all her energy out. Given her size, she does need a lot of room to move around and a place outside to romp and play when she needs it. She is good on a leash, and really hopes you're headed some place fun where she get run around, like the dog park or maybe the rail trail. She enjoys affection and doesn't mind full-body rubs - she also isn't entirely aware of her size, and can bowl people over for affection if she isn't careful. This big, drooly girl hopes you have room in your heart for her! Martha would do well in a home other dogs, especially her sister Daisy. She would do well in a home with cats, and with older children due to her size.To apply for this pet on Adopets, click the Adopt Me button below their profile picture. Her easy-going and relaxed personality makes her a perfect companion, so long as everyone is comfortable with her size and her leaning into people with her body to get their attention and pets. Daisy is really just a gentle giant, hoping you have enough room in your heart for her. No surprise, Daisy absolutely adores treats and dinner time. Story
Fleece is a 4 month old, sweet and thoughtful puppy with a gentle strength and a surprisingly soft heart. As a mix she has a friendly, eager to please attitude of a lab — but it’s paired with warmth, loyalty, and a calm, steady nature. Fleece is smart and curious, always eager to learn and please her people. She enjoys playful training sessions, exploring new places, and staying active, but she doesn’t need constant excitement to be happy. She’s just as content lounging nearby, quietly keeping her family company. Though she may grow into a big girl, her personality leans more toward affectionate shadow than fierce guardian. She bonds deeply with her loved ones and shows her devotion through gentle cuddles, patient watchfulness, and a wagging tail whenever her favorite humans walk into the room. Balanced, loving, and quietly confident, Fleece is the kind of puppy who brings both comfort and companionship — a steady best friend with a soft side.
