Story
Animal Profile: Goose is an estimated 2-year-old, 50 lb neutered male bully mix who came into the overcrowded Stockton animal shelter as a stray. Goose is so well mannered and a joy to be around; he loves to have his hair brushed, getting treats and pets. He does fabulous in doggy playgroups but does get super bummed to go back in his kennel. This dog is a social love bug and needs out of the shelter! Foster Update: Goose is the sweetest little short stack and just so hilarious! He provides endless entertainment with his goofy antics. He is good with other dogs, and good in his crate. He goes in on command and is calm while crated, even during a longer work day. He can be a bit barky with strange noises but is otherwise quiet, so he may be OK with apartment living depending on the community. When out of the crate he entertains himself with toys and making funny faces at you, and he love*love*loves to snuggle. He is learning obedience training and leash training and would benefit from someone willing to work with him on these as it's all new to him. He is a bit all over the place on leash and does well with a training collar but he's not reactive. He had a few potty accidents in the beginning (we don't think he'd lived inside before) but increasing supervision has eliminated accidents for a couple weeks now. Goose has not had any exposure to cats or kids, but he is gentle and also playful so would likely be okay with dog-savvy kids. He is a well-tempered dog but a little rough around the edges so would likely be best matched with an owner who has *some* dog experience.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Stockton, California and being transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 1/18/2024. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.May 1, 2024, 7:50 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Sysco is an estimated 5-month-old female spayed mixed breed (bully breed mix). She and her 3 siblings were surrendered to Freer Animal Shelter and were then taken in by our rescue partner in Texas. Sysco's litter mates came to DGS earlier this year and found homes but she had to be held back due to a skin condition. That's since been resolved and Sysco has spent seven weeks in foster care, with small-breed and large-breed dogs, cats, and of course humans. She loves everyone! She's good in the crate and house trained, gentle with small animals and playful with big animals. She is sweet, snuggly and playful -- the full package. Foster Update:  If you are looking for action, Sysco is your girl!  She loves to join whatever is going on around her foster home. Sysco is playful, cuddly, and learns quickly. She is learning to fetch, and also plays solo with her toys. She likes to chase and rumble with our resident German Shepherd, and is practicing walking on a leash. Occasionally, she barks at strangers or other dogs on walks, but is easily redirected.  She knows how to use a doggie door and does well in her crate. She rests quietly all night and is ready for her walk in the morning! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from our partner in Texas and arriving via K9 Transport on 03/30/2024 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.May 1, 2024, 7:50 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Sea Otters are described as intelligent, goofy, curious, gregarious and they are undeniably on the shortlist of most adorable animals. This land Otter is the same, for all of the above! Otter is an estimated 2-year-old, 50 lb Staffordshire Terrier who originally came into the overcrowded Stockton, California animal shelter as a stray in October.  Upon first arriving in Seattle, he was lacking manners and unable to understand boundaries. With the help from his foster mom and local trainer Gina Cooley of Double Down Dog Training, he's made amazing progress! Otter is house and crate trained, is a perfect gentleman on leash and is social with both dogs and people. He loves long leisurely walks, squeaky toys and a soft place to nap - in that order. He is also very food motivated! True to the bully breed, he can be pushy in play and will need an owner with experience to help him manage. Otter has been friendly with kids, but would do best in a home without them due to his behavior prior to training. He also needs a family committed to upholding his training so he can continue to be a squishy faced gentleman! Apply today to learn more about his handsome mug! Lorenzo and Rosee are an incredible duo; you just have to meet them to fall in love. Lorenzo is 9 and Rose is around 7. They are medium plus in size and soo full of love and life. They get along with other dogs, kids, and all humans. They currently live with two young kids. They are very bonded and cannot be separated. Both of these sweeties are easy-going in the home. Rose is strong so harness walking will help, she is eager to smell the good earth! Lorenzo is active too but slightly more mellow. They would enjoy a fenced yard and love going for walks. Rose loves playing and snuggling and following Lorenzo around. They are best in a home without cats. Rose is a little more tentative around other female dogs.   We would love to see these two adults in a loving home to live out their many and into golden years. They are vaccinated, chipped, and fixed. Their combined adoption fee is $495.  Come meet Rose and Lorenzo!   We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon! Story
🐾 Meet Phoebe Buffay! 🐾 Just like her namesake from Friends, Phoebe Buffay is a delightful and unique spirit with a heart full of love and a penchant for quirky greetings. She's the kind of dog who would sing "Smelly Cat" with her pup twist, and yes, she's just as charmingly eccentric! Phoebe loves to start every day with a "hello" to her pack, with kisses. She's brindle, beautiful, and friendly, making everyone she meets feel like they've been friends forever. Playful and fun-loving, Phoebe enjoys the great outdoors, whether she's frolicking around or engaging in a spirited game of fetch. She's like that episode where everyone's trying to teach her to ride a bike—enthusiastic, a bit clumsy, but utterly endearing. While harmonious with cats, she can't help but engage in a merry chase if they run, adding to her playful, whimsical nature. On the leash, Phoebe is as poised as she is when strumming her guitar in Central Perk. She's also mastered the art of potty training and using a dog door. Car rides aren't her favorite episodes, but she's improving with every trip. When it's time to unwind after a day full of antics, Phoebe loves to curl up on her dog bed, dreaming of her next adventure. She's looking for a forever family that loves a bit of whimsy and a lot of love. Could you be the Monica to her Chandler? The family that finally makes her feel like she's found her "lobster"? If you're ready for laughs, love, and a little bit of the unexpected, Phoebe Buffay is perfect. 🐶❤️ Adoption link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6553ca3c5e9bdea1860790fa If you have any questions email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org Available for adoption to anywhere in the US. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $62 surcharge for transport.
